Pitching Impressive As Kent Roosevelt Beats Cuyahoga Falls

Both teams were strong in the circle on Monday, but Kent Roosevelt defeated Cuyahoga Falls Varsity Black Tigers 2-0. Ashley Legg started the game for the Rough Riders and recorded 21 outs.

Kent Roosevelt opened the scoring in the top of the third thanks to two singles. The Rough Riders first got on the board when Addison Vincent singled, scoring one run.

Legg earned the win for Kent Roosevelt. The righty surrendered six hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none. Julee Phillips took the loss for Cuyahoga Falls. The right-handed pitcher went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out 11 and walking four.

Brooke Binder, Vincent, Brynn Moser, and Skylar Lauck each collected one hit for Kent Roosevelt. Vincent and Lauck each drove in one run for the Rough Riders. Kent Roosevelt turned one double play in the game. The Rough Riders were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Trinity Heath made the most plays with eight.

Leadoff hitter MJ Mastrodonato led Cuyahoga Falls with three hits in three at bats. The Black Tigers didn't commit a single error in the field. Mackenzie Miller had the most chances in the field with 11.
