Softball Firelands Falcons Defeats Keystone On Clutch Display From Reichle

Aubrynn Reichle drove in five runs on three hits to lead Firelands past Keystone 8-2 on Saturday. Reichle doubled in the first scoring two, and singled in the second scoring one.

Firelands got on the board in the top of the first inning after McKenzie Janosik was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Reichle doubled, scoring two runs, and Karlee Songer singled, scoring one run.

The Falcons added one run in the second after a Reichle single.

Jeanette Crawford earned the win for the Falcons. The starting pitcher allowed 10 hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking two. Bristol Foster took the loss for Keystone. She went four innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking two.

Firelands piled up 12 hits in the game. Angela Beno and Songer each collected multiple for the Falcons. Mandy DeWitt stole two bases. Firelands ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases for the game. Firelands sure-handed defense did not commit an error. DeWitt made the most plays with seven in the game.

Keystone had 10 hits in the game. Jordan Owca and Brooklyn Wise each collected two hits. Foster and Hannah Gurich each drove in one run for Keystone. The Wildcats turned one double play in the game.
