Where/When Did the Term Rock'Em Came To be?

Just curious, Having to hear this everyday, to get us motivated and all. It's an awesome phrase no question, But Just how did it come about?

I 1st heard of it back in the late 80's,former streak Harold Britt claimed the fame or so he said.

I believe it came from a coach watching a postgame interview of a major college game where the head coach of the college team said something along the lines of "We Rocked'em!!" A Lake coach then started saying it around the practice field and it caught on.
