All eyes will be on the Bomber offense to see what Coverdale cooks up for his former team
If you're Trinity's defensive coordinator how in the world do you prepare for the Bombers at this point in time?

Will Strayhorn be back this Friday to strengthen the Bomber pass defense?

LSX looks small on Defense. I’d stick with the smash mouth Offense with Herbstreit getting some snaps to take a few shots.
Small on both sides of the ball.
On offense they start 5 seniors, 4 juniors, 1 sophomore (LT) and 1 freshman (QB)
The sophomore tackle #66 is 5'9" 225lb that is going to have to block Gordy
On defense they start 9 seniors, 1 junior and a freshman corner #18 that is 5'7" 145lb

Just watched the Shamrock 35-10 win over LSX
They overwhelmed them with their speed on both sides of the ball.
They have 3 explosive playmakers in #23, #3 and #16 and a couple solid possession receivers in #10 and #85
Defensively they swarm to the ball and like to stunt and blitz a lot.
Should be another great game at Ballaban this Friday
GO BOMBERS!

ReLoad, Sorry to be picky but check the record book again as I think the 2003 game was part of a doubleheader at a HS in N. Kentucky. Maybe Ryle HS ? Brian Brohm was the QB for Trinity at the time. Younger brother of Jeff, now HC at Louisville. Any way you look at it, Trinity is always a tough foe.

Question everything.
Deception is everywhere, even Yappi
As Dave at X-22 says the deep state, the corrupt politicians, the world economic forum, cable news, the fact checkers, the CDC, the central bank are all telling you the truth isn't the truth

Scouting Report prolly go something like this...
If #7 at QB then likely a passing situation and will be a pass 75% of the time
If #44 or #4 in the wildcat then likely a running situation 100% of the time
If #3 in the shotgun likely a run play 90% of the time.

All 3 of Vollmer's intended receivers were open....just overthrew each of them.....sure that's being worked

I hesitate to say that YOU could damage your credibility on this site-- that ship has already sailed-- but, when you start citing X-22 (when discussing "the truth"), whatever shreds are left of your reputation of truth-telling immediately disappear in a (very small) puff of smoke-- more like wisps or tendrils of smoke, really...

Good call.....found it (see link below)

The Bombers also played in the week 2 Ryle HS tournament in 2001 defeating Brentwood Academy (TN) 21-20 when Dave Miller (older brother of Lou and Evan) blocked the PAT

I've been at every X/Trinity game since and including the 2003 game. The 2008 game at Papa John's was part of an awesome double header (if you disregard the X loss, which I believe also came with one or two critical injuries in addition to the loss) - Ryder Cup at Valhalla all day, our game that night at Papa Johns. Interesting side note - the game at Papa John's was supposed to be played a week earlier but was postponed by a huge electrical storm that knocked out power all over Louisville.

Big Game tonight, excited to see how the team and coaches respond after a heartbreaker last week. Do we see the wing T again? Do we see the offense spread it out? Interesting to note, Coverdale has not beat his former team since he has arrived at X. Is today the day he gets his revenge? Time to get the popcorn ready and excited to watch what is basically a GCL South showdown at Ballaban tonight! Another big game that could set the tone going into KING OF THE ROAD (X has retained the King of the Road Trophy the last 3 years, would be embarrassing to lose it next week).

I wonder how the Bomber defense is going to respond to the Shamrock speed on the edge. Hopefully the Bomber defense can get some turnovers and force the Trinity freshman QB to struggle against this lockdown defense with 5 forced interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. I am ecstatic to watch this game tonight.

Has to be benched for the rest of the season at this point. He's missed 3 open wr's on plays that would have most likely resulted in td's, while throwing into double and triple coverage multiple times. Rest of the offense is visibly frustrated when he's on the field.

If you see it, and other fans see it. What are coaches seeing that they deem that's the best option?

This is what happens when you run this mickey mouse offensive scheme. Not defending 7, but WTH do they expect when a player is thrown in and out of the game. A 2 QB system has proven time and again at all levels it doesn't work.
It wasn’t like 7 was lighting it on fire before this new offensive wrinkle. They tried to find some sort of spark, and right or wrong it seemed to be working. They have to do some soul searching as the regular season is quickly coming to a close.

Agree as well, they need to stick with what's working. If Coverdale doesn't like it, there are plenty of offensive coaches that would love to work with that talent.

I'm guessing because the power sets severely restrict the play calling options and cause too many defensive starters to play both ways. It's too late in the season to fully go to a triple option offense, though this and RPO are probably the best match for the personnel X has. They made the bet that 7 was going to take the jump in understanding how to read a defense, and it hasn't happened. Kid has plenty of arm talent, more than Rueve had a few years back, and probably equal to McCaughey, he just can't seem to be able to get the mental aspect of the position.

McCaughey was on an entirely different level
