Friday 08/26/11 Buckeye High School / Home 7:00PM (W)(W) Great effort by the defense but, Buckeye helped numerious times with stupid penalties (15 in all). Almost everyone played some. 34-0, Record 1-0.
Saturday 08/27/11 Buckeye HS / Away 10:00 AM (W) 48-6 Drubbing of the Buck junior team. Brandon Z scored 4 TD's in the rout. Record 1-0.

Friday 09/02/11 Medina High School / Away 7:00PM (L)(L) Four fumbles and four guys hirt tells the story 43-6. Record 1-1
Saturday 09/03/11 Medina HS / Home 10:00 am (-) Game canceled (jv players had to many quarters played for the week).

Friday 09/09/11 Akron North High School / Home 7:00PM (W)(W) Very stout defense leads to a very efficient offense. Six first half drives netted 96 yards and 38 points. Church and Schleich score 2 TD's each 43-6, Record 2-1.
Saturday 09/10/11 Akron North HS / Away 10:00 am (W) Fun in the mudd. Goodguys win 29-6 Record 2-0.

Friday 09/16/11 Wadsworth High School / Away 7:00PM (L)(L) What a swamp rivals Tallmadge for a bad field. We fought hard but came up short 34-17. Record 2-2.
Saturday 09/17/11 Wadsworth HS / Home 10:00 am (L) Clobbered 28-7 Lost weekend complete. Record 2-1.

Friday 09/23/11 Green High School / Away 7:00PM (L)(L) Tackling errors lead to a heart stopping loss. The boys are learing how to win 27-20. Record 2-3.
Saturday 09/24/11 Green HS / Home 10:00 am (L) Close game throughout but still a loss 26-20. Record 2-2.

Friday 09/30/11 Copley High School / Home 7:00PM (L)(L) Turner was too much but, losing four 2-way starters didn't help 34-21. Record 2-4.
Saturday 10/01/11 Copley HS / Away 10:00 am (L) 29-7, Brandon's 75yd TD run in the first quarter was the only highlight. Record 2-3.

Friday 10/07/11 Tallmadge High School / Away 7:00PM (L)(L) With four two way starters out not much chance in this one 37-21. Record 2-5.
Saturday 10/08/11 Tallmadge HS / Home 10:00 am (L) Freshman jv mix didn't turn out great 33-0. Record 2-4.

Friday 10/14/11 Revere High School / Home 7:00PM (W)(W) Good game for awhile but, the ejection messed us up for awhile. Stupid is as stupid does 14-7. Record 3-5.
Saturday 10/15/11 Revere HS / Away 10:00 am (L) Last second loss 7-6. Record 2-5./// Freshman won their game 6-0 in a half of action.

Friday 10/21/11 Nordonia High School / Home 7:00PM Senior Night (W)(L) What genius decided to go for 2 after the first TD, then didn't go for 2 after the second. I don't think they worked on stopping the veer and gave up 300 yds rushing 24-22. Record 3-6.
Saturday 10/22/11 Nordonia HS / Away 10:00 am (L) Had a chance until a late interception 27-13. Record 2-6.

Friday 10/28/11 Highland High School / Away 7:00PM (W)(W) Hail Mary at the buzzer beats the Hornets for the forth straight year. Best game I've ever seen in person 41-35. Record 4-6.

Saturday 10/29/11 Highland HS / Home 10:00 am (L) Ran out of gas in this one however, the freshman jv mix hung tough. Two, two-way starters hirt bad especially on D 55-39. Record 2-7.

3-4 in league...5-5 overall.

Wow, I was pleasantly suprised at how the team looked vs Normandy. Just chewed them up and spit them out. Not that the Invaders are a power but I did count scores between the varsity and jv. Goodguys 10 Normandy 1.;) :thumb:
 
I was at the scrimmage too. I thought they were pretty dominant. I don't know how good/bad Normandy is this year, so I wasn't sure how much value to place on the scrimmage.

Scrimmage II Midpark....tough fought battle with the leaf prevailing 14-13 in a half of action plus sudden death. The varsity half ended with a blocked extra point. The Jv's won their portion 1 TD to zero for Midpark. Let the stuff that counts begin. ;)

Note: Even though the leaf also won the stistical battle their QB wasn't allowed to be hit so I think it would have been more onesided than it was.

Now that it was in the PD I can say that Joe Romanoff had season ending surgery on his foot a week and a half ago. Get well son.:p
 
JV game added

A game has been added to the schedule. Since the Medina game was canceled, Highland JV team was added. The game will be at home Saturday 10/29/2011 at 10:00 AM.

41-35 win for the good guys. I've said all week that if your giving up close to 400 yards a game you always have a chance against the Hornets. Fourth straight victory against Highland 15-8 lifetime.
