Final Comments:
We had a solid offense last year, and that will be a greater strength for us this year, as we look to add on to our 8 RPG average. We have a lot of hitters and a lot of speed. We gave up over 5 unearned runs per game last year, and our defense is an area where we've needed improvement. We started to gain on defense toward the end of last season as guys were growing accustomed to new positions. This year our defense looks to eliminate unearned runs.

Several new freshmen will be making an immediate impact on offense and on defense. We have great defenders on the corners in freshmen Keon King and Samuel Jackson, as well as newcomer David Frantz picking up time in center field. We return key players Davis Carr, Kyle Adair, and Jacob Brown, who all play up the middle and pitch. All three of them are capable of earning district POY. We can rotate those three around CF, SS, and on the mound and not miss a step at all. Several players made significant improvements after playing summer and fall ball. We are eager to get more contributions from Bright Ossei-Wusu and Samuel Thomas on the outfield corners, Kellen O'Donnell at second base, and Hayden Erwin as our lefty on the mound. Seth Stetz will be our primary catcher, and he has really stepped up as a leader on the team. He has the potential to be one of the top players in the district. I am eager to see how our speed plays this year.
