We took some real lumps in the early ninties, how ever in Glass's last year Hoover they were league champs. Then the Hertler era began. Glass left ten years ago in 95.

continued from new tradition

So for the sake of good Hoover football chat. lets rattle off some of our favorites in the last ten seasons.

Like best backs
Biggest d/1 prospects
best QBs
Best defensive players
best pound for pound players

Come on hoover fans who are our new favorites?

My vote goes to:

Curt Lukens for the best D1 prospect & best defensive player.
Alex Ramsey for the best pound for pound player.
Bill Liber for the best QB
Bobby Hendry for the best RB

Since 1995, 49 Hoover football players have gone on to play college sports. 15 attended D1 schools. (hoovervikingsfootball.com)

this list has changed a bit in the last couple years...Howard best RB(because of his numbers rushing the fact Howard was also a darn good LB gets lost), Appleby best QB and D1 prospect, and, while not the same as best defensive player, biggest hitter Shamus Johnson.
