Final Comments:
We were a very young team last season with no returning varsity experience. We played 9 games that were decided by 1 or 2 runs. Some of those games were decided in the last inning as we were inexperienced and still learning how to close out games at the varsity level. Hopefully we learned from those experiences and are better prepared this year to finish those type of games.
Having graduated only three seniors, one of our strengths is returning 9 varsity letter winners. This includes most of our pitching staff which could be pretty good. Most of our hitters are contact hitters who generally put the ball in play and run the bases well.
If we buy into team concepts, decide to play for each other, accept roles while holding each other accountable, we should be able to compete for the MOAC title. That is our main goal.
