Longtime assistant Mike Hay named Tallmadge head football coach

Pending Board of Education approval, Tallmadge High School plans to hire one of its own to replace Alan Vanderink.

Tallmadge Athletic Director Don Seeker announced that Michael Hay was offered and has accepted the position of head football coach at Tallmadge High School.

Hay, a 1998 graduate of Tallmadge, was a standout athlete in both track and football for the Blue Devils. A sprinter in track and running back in football, he attended Malone University in Canton as a scholarship athlete and participated in both track and football.

No problem with past hires, but I have heard many positive things in the past about Coach Hays. I wish him nothing but success.
