Well this is a fair discussion of what's going on:


Like the Nazis, Islamist terrorism weaponized horror to demoralize the West. Christianity has a soft underbelly: It struggles to reconcile belief in a God who so loved the world that He sacrificed Himself for its salvation with the suffering of innocents.

The post-Christian world, which eschews the mystery of Divine Providence in favor of a squeamish urge for earthly salvation, is all the more vulnerable to the theater of horror. The post-Christian West has become paralyzed by the fear that the world is beset by forces hostile to humankind, which J.R.R. Tolkien called “the black breath.”

All too well have the Western-educated, multilingual leaders of Hamas gauged the spiritual state of the West, and invented an atrocious way of conducting war in order to psychically paralyze it. Hamas cannot win a war against Israel, but it has sufficient power to force Israel to fight a war that cost many civilian lives. Whether the civilian death toll is the 32,000 that Hamas claims or the 18,000 estimated by pro-Israeli analysts is of minor importance.
 
Another interesting take from this article:

The Muslim world said nothing when between 9,000 and 40,000 civilians died in the 2016-17 campaign against ISIS in Mosul. That involved Muslims (the Iraqi Army with American support) killing Muslims. But Gaza is not merely a slaughter but also a humiliation, the reduction of Hamas, and the displacement of most of the Gaza population. Muslims can accept Muslims killing Muslims, but they can’t abide Jews humiliating Muslims.

This toxic combination of horror and humiliation poisons world opinion against Israel. There is no near-term remedy. Horror elicits irrational responses. Never mind that Hamas forced an urban war upon Israel through unspeakable acts of brutality against Israeli civilians, and that it embeds terrorists in hospitals, schools, and other civilian installations to maximize casualties among its own civilians. Never mind that Israel’s response has occasioned fewer civilian casualties in urban combat than any other fighting force on record.
 

PELOSI SIDES WITH HAMAS-STABS ISRAEL IN BACK​


The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) denounced former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats in an editorial on Tuesday for their signing of a letter urging President Joe Biden to stop the transfer of weapons to Israel.

“Denying weapons to an ally in the middle of a war is the definition of betrayal,” the newspaper’s editorial board wrote, labeling Pelosi a “sunshine ally.”

“Democrats claim to be looking out for Israel’s best interests,” the editorial board wrote, “but that’s for Israelis to decide. The threats to withhold weapons from an ally must overjoy Hamas, whose strategy of hiding behind civilian deaths is the real source of Gaza’s humanitarian tragedy.”

UC Berkeley law student erupts in anti-Israel tirade after they were invited to Jewish dean’s home for dinner as his wife pleads with them to leave​

Shocking video footage captured the moment an anti-Israel student protester interrupted a dinner party honoring Berkeley Law School graduates to rail against the Jewish state — at the home of the Jewish dean.

What should have been a celebratory occasion for upcoming graduates quickly turned into an unsettling confrontation over the Israel-Hamas war after the student disrupted the event, hosted by Erwin Chemerinsky, the dean of Berkeley Law School, and his wife, Professor Catherine Fisk, in their backyard.

Law student Malak Afaneh can be seen in the footage, shared widely on social media, standing up and offering the traditional Islamic greeting in Arabic, which translates to “Peace and blessings upon you all,” before demanding the university divest from corporations funding Israel’s role in the war.
 
Whole bunch of panic right now over Iran’s pending response to Isreals strike on the Iranian embassy complex in Syria.

Biden and company making threats while pleading with Russia and China to back Iran down.

India urgently alerting its citizens to stay out of both countries.

We’ve banned our embassy and diplomatic staff from leaving the Israeli embassy.

Those generals would be a hard target to pass on but now was not the time for this strike.

Isreal chose to attack that embassy they can deal with the consequences themselves. I mean did they really expect to not have to face the music for it?
 
If Iran gets any more involved they should get a wake up call they will never forget. Are we getting ready to deliver or is Biden just saying "don't?"

Agree. But this is a two way street and the Biden administration should let Israel off the leash in their response to any Iranian attack.

Limp wristed Biden won't do a dang thing...
 
Iran begins their attack by launching a couple dozen drones that will take about nine hours to reach Isreal.

I’m sure the IDF can handle it

Most Arab states have zero affection for Iran.

Iran produces 4% of the world's oil.

I don't think that will be a problem to replace.

You are correct but their actions in the lead up to this indicate they are not wanting to involve themselves. They’ve banned our forces from launching attacks on Iran or intercepting Iranian drones from their territories.

Iran exports about 1.5 million barrels a day. An amount that is not insignificant and cannot be replaced over night.

You make a very public statement about the shots we have taken from them already, and you tell them that we are done sitting back if they are going to keep this up.

Then when they do, you hit them so hard that they can’t get up again for a long time. Because they understand and respect nothing less.
