Game 2# springfield vs east

Im glad we see east before they get their zhit together. I know East has 14 returning starters and Jackson 17 starters with hardly any playing time last year. Something doesnt add up. Anybody seen East , Jackson game? Ellet had a very green rb and still got some yards. East i tbink will be back in the 4-500 yrds this game.
 
 
Hate to say it, but I dont think Springfield is beating east. Im certainly rooting for you guys, but East is pretty tough...youve got your work cut out for you for sure. Good luck...

did you see east play? Springfield has a much more rounded team than last year. Passing is double maybe triple the threat from last year.

Coventry did scrimmage those guys, where we beat them in a two quarter format 14-7. Both sides ran vanilla plays. From what I've seen of East, they are big. Not as fast as our guys, but big. A strong passing game could maybe overcome East size, depending on how well you can execute the spread offense/defense. I really am rooting for Springfield though. Admittedly partly because Springfield is worth more playoff points if we can beat them. Emphasis on if. We'll see as this season unfolds.
 
East has a TON of talent. Spartans will need a great game plan for this one. I didn't see the game against Jackson but I did see Jackson in a scrimmage. The QB can wing it. Committed to UMASS. Also have fast shifty WR's. Defense wasn't as impressive which makes sense with the 34 points given up. I think it'll be a fun one!
