Final Comments:
Team Outlook - Gahanna Lincoln softball has dominated the past two years going 55-6, but bowed out early in the 2023 state tournament with a loss to Newark in the district semi-finals..Last year’s Senior class lost their Freshman season to COVID and then went on to finish with a 68-17 career record, shattering a ton of team & individual records along the way. That's all gone now and now, for those who are left, it is the redemption tour after getting upset in 2023. The Lions are never short of firepower, and Coach Matt Bailey and the staff has a strong 2025 class and an incoming 2027 class that looks eerily familiar to the class that just graduated. The 2024 season gets underway on Monday, March 25th, when the Lincoln Lions will host Dublin Jerome HS at 5:15pm.

Strengths: Lions have arguably more offensive firepower throughout the lineup than last year. Still has tremendous speed throughout the lineup and could possibly steal over 200 bases again.

Weaknesses: Experience goes a long way in OCC play. We had to replace 72% of our at-bats and we will have to rely on some young Freshman in key spots and as the battery. We have some top notch programs on our schedule to help us get ready for the end of the year.
