Rebuilt my old tongue and groove front porch with just regular pressure treated wood. The old railing system was very bulky and anchored into the brick Pillars that hold up the front porch roof. We are looking for a more slick modern design. I did not extend any 4x4s up through the flooring to anchor any thing to. We were looking at cable rail system but I cannot for the life of me get anyone to let me know if they only come in preset lengths or I can cut to length. Any insight would be awesome.
