Final Comments:
This year's Panthers' team is loaded with returning starters. Our talent and experience will allow us to compete consistently at a high level. Where we are lacking is depth. We were hampered with injuries last season with 4 of our top five players in the lineup out with injuries and we lost our second leading hitter, Savannah Dixon, midway through the season as well. Regardless of the team or sport, when you lose 5 out of 9 players in your starting lineup the last month of the season, it makes it difficult to compete and make a run in the playoffs. We had a great off-season and focused on building depth in our program. Overall, we look to compete for a second conference title (GLC, 11-0) but this teams focus is on work ethic, playing in the moment and taking a pitch by pitch approach to make the necessary adjustments that will allow us to prepare and compete game to game.
