Just a quick tidbit for Panther wrestling fans.
Yesterday Konner Lambers, Colin Broxterman, and Carson Adkins wrestled at the Hoosier Preseason Open at Fort Wayne. Lambers (123) went 6-2 and finished fourth. Among his wins was a 1-0 decision over Jaxson Rosselli, a senior from Olentangy Liberty who finished sixth last March at the Schott at 113.
Sophomore Colin Broxterman (109) went 4-2.
Last year a freshman named Carson Adkins wrestled for St. X at 106. He won the Lebanon sectional but did not advance from Kettering. Yesterday a Carson Adkins wrestled at Fort Wayne at 129 and was listed as being from Elder; he went 2-2. I will go out on a limb and say that he is the same wrestler who wrestled last year for X. If I am wrong, I’m sure someone will correct me pronto. If not, add his name to the mix of Panthers who will be fighting for a starting spot in this year’s lineup.
If I become aware of any more preseason action involving Panther grapplers I will post the info here.
