Pretty good to be recognized like that when the team around you is so bad. Mostly at QB, but still. He’s a big reason why UC’s offense averages so many rushing yards per game

I highly doubt he enters the draft this yr, but in ‘25 I could see him getting drafted if he keeps this level of play up.

Gotcha. So I assume Royer has another year of eligibility for OSU too? Sucks to see his talent wasted being a 3rd string TE.

Royer has been snakebit with football (concussion) and other health related issues all season.
He and James both have two years of eligibility at OSU (or wherever they decide to go after this year).

Jakob James will be leaving Ohio State upon entering the transfer portal this afternoon. He will have 2 years of eligibility as a grad student. Looking for some playing time.

Wasn't he 2nd string for the last year or two? If so, could still go start at a less prestigious P5 school. Would love to see him and Royer join Kandra and head to UC.

Good for him. Always seemed/sounded like he was being hyped up every off-season, only to not see the field very often. He can almost certainly play an important role somewhere.

Jakob James is transferring from Ohio State to Toledo. Due to the 2020 covid year, he has 2 years of eligibility left.

Joe Royer had a nice debut with the Bearcats today. 2nd leading receiver with 5 catches for 89 yards in the victory. Nice to see the young man have a successful fresh start in his college career.

Nice game by Joe Royer tonight against UCF in a victory for the Bearcats. He was the top receiver with 8 catches for 84 yards with a 10.5 AVG. Also some good blocking from the tight end.
