The Comets will field 8 new everyday starters, following the previous class. There were a few fill-ins and spot plays from the returning guys, but not enough to feel comfortable in a varsity game yet. We will need to learn and grow as we go. If we can show up with the mindset we can compete and have a short memory, we can have a successful season. Our defense and baserunning will be our strengths and that will travel. Our pitching and hitting are coming along but will be an entire team effort depending on the opponent.
