The MVL is down? The league that had the state runner-up in D2 this past year? The league that has sent 3 schools to the D2 State Final-Four in the past 9 years? The league that has had multiple regional appearances in the past 2-3 years out of the Southeast & East districts?

Having one good team or two in a league that size does not make the league good, depth makes the league good. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and West was not in the District finals this year, they won 2 tournament games, just for clarification.

Maysville(26 wins, D2 state runner-up)
Tri-Valley(22 wins, D2 regional semi's)
New Lex(21 wins, D2 regional semi's in '23 when West beat them twice, District Finals in '24)
John Glenn(16 wins, beat Marietta the D2 #1 seed from SE)
Coshocton(16 wins, beat TV & barely squeaked by West in double OT)


Opinion's are fine but don't move those goalposts and try to downplay the MVL when it's easily the strongest it's been in decades.

If Blanton studied Rocky and took the time to learn the details of the job year round this could be a good thing. When you looked at tournament runs Rocky could be the best Trotwood coach at least since 1990.

Trotwood historically has had great coaches, Carter, Staley, Thorton, Baker but Rockhold is clearly the best ever!

According to the Progressor-Times, Carey has hired Zack Bame to be the Boys coach. He was previously the Carey JV Girls Coach the past two seasons.

Baker was not a good coach, other 4 are

Bill Staten had a couple good years too in early 2000s

Baker went 18-2 his first year. From the outside looking in he was even though we may know otherwise.
