Class of 85 still making mark on HS Sports

The class of 85 is still well represented in High School sports today. Everyone knows that the wrestling coach, Brian Dolph is a member of the class of 85 along with Andy Logan, an assistant football coach.

The one that most probably do not know about actually graduated from Lake after being a Hoover student the first 3 years of high school. The only reason he transferred to Lake is because his dad was hired as the head coach there and he could have been the missing link that could have been enough to beat St. Francis that year. Ron Viscounte is now the head coach at Copley and has done a great job of turning around a football program that has gone 2-8 the past 2 seasons.

They are currently 6-2 and are 11th in points for their region. The 2 remaining games are against 5-3 teams, so winning out will go a long way toward making the playoffs.

If things keep improving in Copley, I look for him to be coaching in Stark County before too long.

Can you imagine Ronnie and Timmy K in that backfield together? WOW! Don't forget, Bill Orndorf also left when Ron did! Also in the same year, Steve LaTampa(1 year younger) left for Lake and was all Senate league!!!
