The Cats opened up their quest for another state title with a 4-0 win over Avon Lake. Normally I would pick Ignatius versus the field in winning the state title. But Ignatius lost so many players to graduation, something like 20 including national player of the year Spicer, that I hesitate to predict them winning the state. So I'm taking the field this year.

Cats fall to Twinsburg 2-0. We knew this would be a rebuilding year after losing so much talent to graduation, but there may be more work to do than expected.

Was just on your website to see how the early season was going and was shocked to see the loss to Twinsburg. All good runs come to an end. I'm sure Ignatius will still have a good season and go deep in the tournament. Good luck this year.

St I gonna win another state championship this off year?

How’s your health arizonawildcat? I feel like you mentioned something about it awhile back. Or maybe it was another St I poster. 🤔

Unfortunately it was me. Last December I was diagnosed with myelo fibrosisis, a rare but deadly form of leukemia. The doctor gave me 2-3 years to live, with the last year being bedbound. Around seven years ago I made a deal with the Guy Upstairs that he not take me until Massillon won a state title. Massillon lived up to its part of the deal with continuous losses. But I'm afraid that this year Massillon is finally going to win the state football title in its division, so It's going to be no more Yappi for me. Thanks for your concern.

You definitely have not lost your sense of humor, that’s outstanding! And who knows, maybe Hoban will be the last one standing in d2?

Hey AZWildcat, I know that you have not been providing much, if any at all, posting on Yappi for the past month. You have been a faithful follower and advocate for the Wildcat futbol program. So if your health is indeed declining, this improbable run - 5 consecutive years, especially this season and the epic state championship match - should hopefully boost your spirits and bring you a smile. Hopefully, you got to see the SIBN video/audio replay of the state championship that got posted last night
Take care and we'll be thinking about you. AMDG.

Thanks for the kind words. Tomorrow I see my specialist to determine how many years I have left. With the win, that 13 of the last 19 titles for the cats. I would assume that qualifies for a dynasty.
