Buckeye Local D-3 District Rankings #8

I welcome any insight into which weights certain wrestlers are competing, because I know that Iím bound to be off with some wrestlers.

I love doing these rankings, but as it has been pointed out before, they are just for fun. To any wrestlers who read these and feel that they are ranked too low, you may be right.
I am bound to be wrong on many of the rankings, but fortunately they have absolutely no impact on how anyone will finish at any tournament this season or any other year.

Marion Pleasant won the Team Dual Regional and has beat several of the listed teams in this standing. Just curious as why they wouldn’t crack the top 8?!?!

Some teams are much better tournament teams than dual teams. In a tournament your point scorers can score points multiple times and you're less experienced kids can't give points to other teams after the second or third round.

Yes case in point for Nelsonville-York we got the 4 seed in the duals we are a terrible dual team and it showed. We should have not been any higher than a 10 seed. However with 3 returning state placers we can score more at a big tournament than most good dual teams. And side note who cares what is on paper has to be wrestled.

Both are great points. I don't think that Shark55 meant anything in the way of truly caring what the projection shows, as you are right, all that matters is results and not predictions; I think he was just curious as it seems Pleasant has beaten some of the top 8 teams in bracketed tournaments.

I understand. I am not saying he cares one way or the other. I always like to remind that it is one persons opinion on paper and come March it all will work out. Looks like Pleasant has some young studs looks like they will be back on top soon enough.

MP has 4 kids ranked and with one getting to state.

Lets take #8 W.Muskingum - they have 5 kids ranked with 3 getting to state and 2 district finalist. That is why they are above MP.

Like everyone said, rankings are for fun.
