I have to give it to the Warriors.
Gotta like Trotwood and Piqua because they won it all. Lebanon has a title too.
We have to give it up to Fairmont in the mid to late 90's though as they went undefeated in all the Blue/Gray games during camp. Then hung the scores in the "Hall of Fame" and labeled it the golden era. Ah yes the powerhouse years of Fairmont football when all of Bizzaro World feared the mighty Firebirds.

Credit where credit is due.
Fine, FHSBirds99. Fine. According to your Firebirds' website, you won a WOL title in 1995 and 1997. I know the '97 title was a co-title with Springfield South. Still no playoff appearances in that span, but whatever.

they guy who thinks Fairmont was once a powerhouse. Yes good day sir, may your session tomorrow with the shrink help you realize that the firebirds were not ever a powerhouse. When I point out the awfulness of the Fairmont past just reflect on the words of Darth Vader "Search your feelings, you know it to be true"

I will say that this changed my mind about Fairmont football. Wait no it didn't but hey they do have some history, that all who visit their website can see. I made the mistake of getting my information from the State of Ohio Archives, the State completely forgot to mention the powerhouse firebirds. This is an outrage, why didn't the state acknowledge such a storied past? The two years they won the WOL how did they not get in the playoffs, OUTRAGE. I mean when Wayne and Centerville won it they got in, the harbins are bias. If only in those years they would have gotten a forfeit extra victory and they could have had 2 more "*" appearances.

Sure is. How dare the state not mention a 16-year old league title from a conference that no longer exists?

Are there really smurf berries in Kettering? Because if you have known that all this time sir you are wrong for not bringing it up And a correction on Fairmont winning the Blue/Gray game, Alter showed up and took over the stadium before actually completion of the scrimmage. To avoid causing any other beat downs by the hands of the Knights the firebirds left the scene, prompting the hall of fame committee to revoke the inter squad champions from being inducted. Facts.

So Trotwoods history prior to joining the GWOC doesn't count? Brilliant deduction!

Since we're talking about playoff history. Might as well mention the 1989 Sidney team that made it to the State Semi's.
Carry on.

I'm surprised that either one of them can understand each other. Still struggle to figure out what they are trying to say half the time.

I had heard stories from when they were split late 70s early 80s but don't really remember them being dominant in the 90s. I remember they had a stud back in early 2000s Bo Ballinger(sp?) or something like that

I've heard some good things and bad things. Mainly there have been some early key injuries. Should have everyone ready by the opener though.

Bo Balogun played in the early 2000's but really wasn't as good as Cameron Campeau. Campeau could run the ball man! Only reason we beat Alter in 2004.

I remember playing against Campeau. All we heard all week was that he was a truck. When the game kicked in and we hit him a few times....I hate to say it but well......he was soft. By the time the 4th quarter hit I realized something.....he wasn't soft.......his body was broken. Kid went through hell one night a week for his football team, tons and tons of heart from Campeau to tote the rock as many times as he did on a given night.
