I had a SVSM person tell me in a message that "we don't have the speed in NW Ohio that they do across the state". So far we've seen Central athletically take it to Trotwood and SVSM is having problems with Bellevue's speed and size

wow, how TM get in this thread, not true what you said about that game, but NICE push off by the bellvue wr!
Bellevue is holding it’s own against the Akron area all star team but ASVSM has too many weapons and my sense is the Irish will pull away in the second half.
At the risk of being a wee bit controversial I can see the issue at the lower divisions between these urban parochial small school all star teams versus mainly rural small school communities. Even with open enrollment (is there anything around Bellevue that can supply more then a hand full of students) these small rural areas can only hope for those rare years they have an athletically exceptional couple of classes. But even then there is no way these classes have as many D1 recruits as ASVSM. The only way you can get that type of talent as a small school is by casting a wide net around the school.
I guess what this shows to me is just how exceptional those Western Ohio MAC schools are in football.
The game isn’t over yet and Bellevue could pull it out but ASVSM looks very formidable.

Ditto.

And we explain the MAC...how? There is one Catholic school in that league (DSJ), but also Coldwater, Maria Stein (one state title, the other in the championship game today), St. Henry.

OK...fine. That's the kind of thing I would say . But there's nothing to learn from it? The MAC is RURAL and primarily a public school league that dominates. Why? How?

Make them play up. ASVSM should be playing for the D2 title.
I would leave D1 & D2 alone but in all the other divisions the privates would have to play up one division.
