Tallmadge 55 Cloverleaf 35 Final

A little more exciting and closer than expected as the third quarter ended. Tallmadge led 48-14 after scoring late in the 3rd quarter. Cloverleaf received the next kickoff and the Tallmadge offense didn't see the field until about 5 minutes left in the game and the score at 48-35.

After Tallmadge's final TD in the 3rd quarter, Cloverleaf had a long sustained drive that resulted in a TD (48-21). On the kickoff, Tallmadge fumbled the ball and Cloverleaf scored a TD on the ensuing possession (48-28). Cloverleaf onsided the kickoff and recovered. Another possession, another TD (48-35). Amazingly, Cloverleaf recovered another onside kick and had the ball in Tallmadge territory. The Tallmadge defense then stepped up and stopped Cloverleaf on 4 plays. The offense put together a nice drive to cap the scoring (55-35).

The fans that left the game in the 3rd quarter are probably going to be a little surprised by the final score and how close it had gotten.
