I wonder how many of those teams would want to play Ursuline right now. Few could probably beat the 3-3 Irish, except the top four or five.

Coldwater would beat them, and even with as many atheletes as Ursuline has, at this point I'd be surprised if Coldwater doesn't beat them by a couple TDs.

I'm wondering why 4-2 Versailles is in the top ten? Any theories on that?

What's so hard to understand? Based on history, it's highly likely they're one of the best ten teams in the division at 4-2.

They play in the best small school conference in the state. Go look at who their losses are to. They deserve it.

I'd have to say I believe region 17 is a much tougher region than region 20. Not saying Versailles doesn't deserve to be ranked but there are tougher divisions

Perhaps.... Ursuline needs to make the playoffs first and foremost, and hope in that run they get their pass defense figured out.

Just checked joeeitel. Ursuline is at the 8 spot in region 17, with Big Red, Moody, and SVSM still coming up. At #8, and a string of 4-2 teams behind them, one more loss probably is it.

But they have only 1 quality win after week 6 versus Marion Local......their other three wins have a combined record of 3-15.

Anna is a better team than people give them credit for.

Beating Marion Local helped their case a lot as it's the Flyers only loss on the year. That's how you make a statement.

Depends on what you believe a poll is for. If it's to reward accomplishment to date, there might be some teams to put in ahead of Versailles. But I'd bet you would be hard pressed to find a team to replace them that they wouldn't beat.

Youngstown St. Ursuline comes to mind.

5-5 Ursuline will make the playoffs. A 4-6 Ursulime wasn't far from it last year.
