Article: Tallmadge defeats Highland 35-21
The Highland Hornets visited Rossiaky Stadium Friday night and came out swinging. Highland jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead on the Devils in the 1st quarter. The veteren Blue Devil squad re-grouped and the defense dug in forcing 4 turnovers. Senior Anthony Gotto went to work, methodically picking apart the Highland defense as he was given plenty of time by the Tallmadge offensive line. Tallmadge cut the lead to 14-7 with a Gotto to Daniel Ray touchdown. After a Highland turnover, Gotto hit senior Jacob Wood for a 60 yard touchdown to tie things up. The Tallmadge duo would hook up 2 more times to take a 28-14 lead into the 4th quarter. The Devils would ice the game with Gotto's 5th touchdown pass of the night, this time to Bryon Koch to make the score 35-14. Highland would put together a nice scoring drive late in the game, capped off with a touchdown pass to make the final score 35-21.
Tallmadge 5-1 (3-0) travels to Nordonia next week to take on the Knights 5-1 (3-0)
