Isn't Princeton's QB from last year one of the ones in the GMC that returns? Kid was pretty good when I saw him last year. Drew Matula will likely be Mason's QB; didn't see much PT last year, backing up JD Sprague, who had a great year & was very durable, not hurt often. Matula didn't get much experience, but is a senior. Rumors also going around about a kid from Springboro may be looking to transfer. Can't substantiate that one much though.

No, Nate McGill was a senior for princeton last year, so they will have a new QB, so will sycamore, mason, Fairfield, And colerain. Not sure about any players that have tramsferred that have to replace a QB as well.

Colerain will not have a new QB. Both the original starter (Ramsby) and the young man that took his place following injury (Sorn) are returning.

The young man that took his place after injury was Smith and he was a senior. Sorn was the fullback and he will be returning.

I'm wrong and you are 100% right. So Colerain has a returning backfield of QB Ramsby, FB Sorn, RB Davis, RB Detuan Smith. Thats a good start. What about Hudson? Will he remain a WR, get moved to safety or QB?

Anthony Crouch will most likely be the starter for Hamilton.

I can see Jones & Grove battling it out through the scrimmage season for West. It'll be interesting to see if Blake Darland gets any looks.

Guess that might depend on why he's transferring from Springboro?

I think Hudson will have to earn a job. He was rather disappointing last year. If he plays I think it will have to be at wide receiver.

What were the expectations for Hudson? He was only a sophmore and seemed very explosionsive in the games I saw. What is his issues now?

Look for Junior Greg Simpson, last year's starting tailback, to be the starting quarterback for Sycamore. I'm not sure if he is playing football or not, but there is a chance senior Joey Gruden could be the starting quarterback as well.

I believe it is Wyoming High School. He may have been the player that some were talking about a few months ago.

If he enrolled a Wyoming High and has decided to return Colerain, per OHSAA rules, he will have to sit for one year.

Kids transfer between public schools all the time without sitting out a year. I think when transferring from public to private the rules are different.

The way I read it, if the parents or guardian made a legal change of residence to the new school district - the student would be eligible.

The rules are different and my understanding is that you do NOT need to sit out a year.

Besides, I don't think Hudson was actually ever enrolled in Wyoming.

Either way, this conversation is about QB's and while Colerain has Ramsby coming back, we need to remember that he played a grand total of 3 games last year before being lost for the season. He is as much a brand new starter at the position as any other 1st time QB in the conference. Colerain's offense is expected to do big things this year and the talent is there...but there is also a lot of inexperience as well.

Should be a fun year!

I would not be surprised to see incoming sophomore Rodney Hutchison to make a run in the QB battle at Mason. He's going to be a pretty big kid and has a cannon. Played varsity baseball for Mason as a Frosh and considered one of the best baseball players in his class.

I agree about Hutchinson. I think Matula begins the year as starter, but Hutchinson will take over as he gains experience because he is the far more talented player. I think Matula is a good, smart kid, but he is a much more talented basketball player.

It doesn't matter who Lakota West puts in at Q.B. as long as Cox is the head coach they will continue to struggle, even though they are one of the largest schools in Ohio. The best players are transferring or walking the halls and not playing at all.
