I have seen him (Beard) on BTW teams in the past.
In Defiance do they only let "the head coach" coach the kids? If so I would suggest they stop doing that. More coaches in the room would help out their program.

Just stirring the pot. That seems to be the thing to do right now...bash Wauseon for assembling a great coaching staff. I'm well aware of their coaching situation. I still feel a little responsible for all the posts about it because I jokingly suggested Defiance bring over Coach R, which seemed to kick all of this off.
I still don't get all the negatism around it. Sounds more like jealousy to me. I for one am jealous of the staff Coach R has assembled...which is why I was joking about bringing him to Defiance. I say jealousy, because why wouldn't you want the best coaching for your kid / school? I for one hope Defiance will use Wauseon as a model on building a coaching staff and program. I know I'm going to hear the "well, if you pay$X amount of money you can have that coaching staff". Well, they seem to be very organized and have a head coach who is not afraid to bring in great coaching. Wauseon has lots of good coaches in their program, and yes, one of them just happens to be Scott Burnett. Regardless of how they brought him in, they went out and made it happen.
Houdini, as far as how Defiances' coach handles the coaching in the room, I wouldn't know becuase as far as I know, we don't even have a coach yet. So I agree 100% with your comment about the more coaches in the room the better. I just hope we bring in someone who is willing to assemble a great coaching staff for our kids.
And 2win...maybe you should ask Houdini how a coaching staff should work. He's got some good ideas.
