I see the Bombers and Panthers surprising everybody and both in the post-season.

Friday night I saw Mikel Horton, the stud running back for Lakota East, walking around in a Lakota West Football shirt. I asked around and found out he (or his dad) decided that West would be a better fit. Apperantly the triple options is too many options and he wanted to carry the ball more often and not just up the middle. This should be interesting to see how both teams adjust.

If he doesn't want to carry up the middle, then I'd probably question his decision to attend West.

I would flop Middletown and Wayne, then drop Withrow for a team like Mason, Lakota East or Sycamore. Other than that looks pretty good.

X fans are going to whine since the Cards are ahead of them.

'X' fans should whine. 'X' is the same to Bolden as Michigan was to Cooper.

They play each other; doesn't matter where they are before the season starts.

BlueRhino, BB94 and Diehard will be the complainers. I agree with both things you guys said. Has Bolden beat X since he's been there? If so, what's the overall record? I think X will keep the Cards in check at home, winning a grind it out type game. Something like 17-10 or 17-7.

Other than Moe at #1...it's going to be musical chairs...I need to see us practice, play in a few scrimmages and see how we handle jalin marshall in week one.

Well, he'll at least get a lead blocker and the knowledge that he will get the ball on every single play.

Except for 3rd and very long, where he can stay in and block for a poorly thrown ball over the middle.

X will beat Colerain. Colerain is going to have some depth issues this year IMO. I'd still put them at #3 in the region pre-season but they will have more depth issues than they have had in recent memory. I think their junior class is one of their weakest in a long time. Plus I've heard Chris Davis is still nowhere near healthy from his injury. The report I saw from UC's camp made it sound like he is still in pretty bad shape. He was an elite talent before the injury and if he's not the same it's going to be a huge dropoff.

Yes. Plus in my opinion Middletown's senior class last year was probably their best individual class in a long time it was just overshadowed by all the hype surrounding Marshall. Looking at their schedule I think they could have a similar record as last year but I dont think they'll be nearly as good or as talented from top to bottom as they were last season.

I actually think that this will be Colerain's worst team in a long time. They return the 3 starters on defense who each have D1 offers, but I just don't think they have enough guys that run fast and hit hard to be great on defense. That offense could be explosive, but good teams will contain it and also will be able to move the ball on their defense. I think they will lose to X, and while there isn't a single GMC team that I can point to and say is better than them, there are enough good teams that Colerain will slip up to somebody in the conference this year when they have an off-night.

I tend to agree. They have some very good individual players but I think they are going to have major depth issues that could even show up in the starting lineup this year.

Who are the 3 returning defensive starters for Colerain with D-1 offers? And what positions do they play?

I'm pretty sure Lang and Durham have MAC offers. Lang plays DB and Durham I believe plays DT. Not sure of the 3rd... Scales maybe..even though he's going to be a junior.

Who said I'd complain about Colerain being ranked higher? Colerain has more returning starters in key positions than X does. Bolden defeated X in 2008, 13-8. He is 1-5. It will be a grind out game, but it is at X and that may help the Bombers feel more comfortable come game time.

2007 - X wins 28-14
2008 - C wins 13-8
2009 - X wins 16-0
2010 - X wins 24-23
2011 - X wins 2x, 17-14 & 28-15

I'd prefer both teams being 100% anyway come week 3 and playoff time. Prayers for a full recovery for Davis. Hopefully it won't be enough to defeat X but one can hope.

Good to hear. Like I said he's an elite talent and easily the best tailback prospect in Cincinnati. I was going by the report I read from UC's camp. They made it sound like he was nowhere near healthy. Funny thing is someone else I was talking to last week who was at UC's camp said Davis looked very good.
