It's the preseason; how can anyone have a top10 list without putting the 2 teams battling it out for a state championship every preseason -Northmont & Moeller?

Wait, Northmont has a team?

They were 2-8 against a suicide schedule. And I thought I get my facts wrong. They were in a lot of close games and had a very young team with a lot of returning starters. Yes, Elder. That's my season underdog pick. They'll come off the radar out of nowhere.

Teams Elder lost to
9-0 playoff team -6A Ky state champ -
7-3 playoff team
9-0 playoff team - Fl state runner up
7-3 playoff team
7-3 playoff team
8-2 playoff team - Ind state champ
10-0 playoff team -4A KY state champ
7-3 Should have been a playoff team if it weren't for the non record keeping Canucks.
They did beat a 7-3 playoff team for 1 of their 2 victories.

As much as I'd like to homer, I can't. Colerain has a lot more coming back than St. X. St. X lost their QB, workhorse RB and a great WR. That is a huge loss.

On paper, Moeller, with what they have coming back is the clear pre-season favorite. Coach Grippa flat out said that in his recent chat session online. Not to mention the coaching additions.

You have to factor in the Spect factor. As much as I would like to see Colerain beat 'X'. I think 'X' is to Bolden what Michigan was to Jim Cooper.
blue, looks better with your edit, but the GWOC teams on your list will be tough teams to beat.
The god thing is since alot of these teams will either be playing other teams in this top ten or some other tough teams in the showdown that after week 1 it will be alot clearer picture of where the teams rank.
You gotta have Middletown, Princeton, and Lakota East in the top ten, but I would like to see some 7 on 7's and scrimmages before actually coming out with a list. I do notice not many GMC/GCL matchups on the schedule. That feud is running deep, and it may have huge implications for the Harbins. The GWOC could waltz in with a few playoff spots this year. Perhaps.
GMC usually knocks themselves out of playoff spots because most of the good teams play each other. Last year they got Colerain, Middletown, Mason and Syacmore. How many times has that happened since 2000? Usually you get a mix of 2-3 GCL, 3 GMC, 2 GWOC and maybe one CPS or FAVC.

I can see wayne and cville get into the playoffs but after that who is going to waltz in? Springfield with have to get at least 7 wins playing against Hamilton and middletown as well as the GWOC league games. Will Troy have a decent team coming back?

Unless they shuffled with the regions, Troy and Springfield are R3 not R4. So those two options are moot.

If The Bolts take care of a few disipline issues then they may rise from wingnut status.
Who was the great WR? Ballenger? He was good, but didnt play the last 7-8 games. Kilgore, Milligan, and Frey were the main guys. Dunn played a bigger role down the stretch as well. With the combination of these four and Brinkman(Think thats his name), the WRs are a stud group.
He made some clutch catches when they needed him to, was a 2-year starter (at least) and it usually took more than one person to take him down. He was the size of a TE. He only played half the season due to an injury, which is why Frey was brought up from JV and why Brinkman/Rumpke got some PT.
