It's just not winning the Fed title more than any other team in the Fed.It's McKinley's record against other Fed teams compared to all the other Fed's teams records against other Fed teams. You have to admit it,it isn't even close.
Plus McKinley's 3 State Championships to ZERO for all of the other Fed teams combined.
I could go on,but I'm just answering the question to BulldogBob.
GO BULLDOGSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big,
I think I've had this conversation before. I'm going to speak for GlenOak only. Over the past five years we've got a coach that's a homegrown Eagle, and he has completely turned our program around. We are very relevant in the FED and in Region 2. We're not where we want to be, but we are getting close. Our kids feel that they can step on the field with McKinley and compete any time, any place, anywhere. They've played with a chip on their shoulder because of the lack of respect our program receives. We hope to earn everyone's respect by continuing our winning ways.
Since the 90s, McKinley hasn't come close to McKinley's playoff record. Prior to 2000, McKinley was 21-9 (70% winning rate). Since then they've been 13-8....62% winning rate, despite the advantage of the expansion in 1999 to eight teams qualifying (i.e. easier first round games).
McKinley's playoff record as a Fed team is 12-7, with one state-runner up and no state titles. Still better than the other Fed teams, but not exactly bragging material. After all, if McKinley was so much better than the other Fed teams, they wouldn't be on their third coach since joining the Fed just eight years ago.
Where did I say anything about the people in Canton let alone suggest that I know more than people living there? That said, it really isn't relevant because not all McKinley fans live in Canton and not all people in Canton are McKinley fans! By the way, you don't know the vast majority of McKinley fans. As such, how do you know how they feel or what they think?
Your picking and choosing your years for McKinley's play-off record.Every teams play-off record(Including) includes there entire play-off record.Heck you could pick and choose Hoovers play-off record to make it look good, when they have a losing play-off record. Please stop "cherry picking" teams play-off records, especially the Bulldogs. Are you also going to erase McKinley's 3 State Championships? Shame on you for calling yourself a Canton McKinley football fan.Or are you no longer a Bulldog? I'm putting you on ignore,so don't waste your time responding to this post.Your no longer a Bulldog fan,and want to argue for the other Fed teams and fans.Have a nice day apostate.

jaf knows more about mckinley football than you will ever know.get back to the chair some needs a haircut

You keep talking about the last 5 years. So just tell me your play-off record for the last 5 years? Also tell me how many State Championships in the last 5 years? State runner-ups? State Semi-Finals? You still have a long way to catch up with the Bulldogs of McKinley.
Heck,if you want to pick and choose years like you do instead of your entire play-off record since the play-offs started,I would pick 1985 when I believe GlenOak had the 3rd best team in the State. Now that was one heck of a football team. The Moore kid was incredible, and was a joy to watch run with the ball.GlenOak was ranked 2nd in the State that year at one point of the season only behind Big Moe.I even have to admit I felt bad for GlenOak fans and players when you lost to my Bulldogs in the play-offs.Of course I remember watching one of the best games I ever saw during the regular season when GlenOak beat my McKinley Bulldogs in a wild game.
But you can't "cherry pick" years when talking about your teams play-off record. If you were a McKinley Bulldog fan wouldn't you be proud of a 34-17 play-off record? Wouldn't you be proud to win 3 State Championships and 3 State Runner-ups? Wouldn't you be proud of 20 play-off appearances?
I already made my pre-season predictions.I said that Lake and GlenOak will be the two best teams in the Fed this year. It's way to early to predict about my Bulldogs. We have a new coach and have to learn a new system. We only return 6 starters from last season. But on the other hand we had alot of very good sophmore's last year that could be pretty good this year.Plus the Freshmen RB that should be real good as a sophmore this coming year.I'm sure you heard of Eric Glover. We could be real good this year, but it's to early to say were going to be real good this year for sure. But I have no problem picking GlenOak as the pre-season co-favorite.
But I'm still waiting on some teams like the 1985 GlenOak Golden Eagles.Do you see what I mean? Good luck this year except against my Bulldogs from McKinley.
GO BULLDOGSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

LOL, not when they're comparing their team's performance to that of other teams in their conference, and they've only been in that conference for 8 of the 40 playoff seasons!
From 2000 to now (12 seasons), McKinley was in the playoffs nine times. Of those, eight were while they were in the Federal League. 2001 is the exception...put that year in whatever era you want.....the results will only change slighty.

some of this is true - and GO to me is probably the favorite to win the FED. my question to you would be this - with the talent glenoak has had for a long time - why did it take so long to finally make something of it? you mean it took garcia coming in to make people care? they should have cared long before him - like in the fred thomas days or the jack rose days - commings made the program respectable in the 1980's - but the fanbase there was apathetic for a long time.
glenoak was the one school i always saw as underachieving - and to their credit that is no longer the case.
stark was basically massillon or mck every year for a long time - glenoak having a strong program - like them or not - certainly changes the old landscape.
i don't like GO at all and never will - but their team this year could very well be better then the one last year. this will be an interesting year.

You and I agree on several things. Most people are envious of McKinley and Massilon's past. The only thing I'm saying is, we're probably not going to knock you guys off the hill. But we're climbing it, and we plan on sharing it with you.

Yes, in the past we have had great individual talent, but haven't been able to have consistent team success. I can assure you that Scott Garcia has played a major role in our resurgence. I agree with you that our fans have pretty much sucked over the years, but since we have been winning they've gotten a lot better. Imagine that.
Bob - You have one glaring fault. Have you ever heard the word respect? The folks you argue with all have respect for McKinley, but you show very little to them. FED members are proud and will stand up for their programs when challenged. You're running your mouth like you haven't lost a Federal League game in years. Last season, we were favored to beat you and we did, as of right now we would probably be favored again. I'm not saying we are miles ahead of you, but it does make your statement of superiority look stupid. You've made yourself the poster boy for Mama, the BSG, the BOE, and the new Coach. You better get a grip on yourself Bobby - because this could be a very long season for you.
I have a lot more respect for the other Fed programs than I do for a lot of their clueless posters like you. I disrespect those posters because many of them have waded in on the McKinley situation with racism and other unnecessary piling on, kicking us when we were down every way they could. And a bunch of overly sensitive nancy boys whining about disrespect on a football forum does not garner respect from me as a poster. Glenoak is miles ahead of no one.
If you're implying they should have taken a job at McKinley, maybe they're the wrong color.
WTF? Why the stupid racist crap? You should def avoid trying to believe you know what I'm thinking beyond what is posted.
Had a Rose or Owens coached @ an all-star team like Ignatius, I think they very well might have replicated their success. McKinley is a bigger school with greater depth most years now-a-days as well. They were good coaches at the wrong place. Massillon needs coaches like Cummings who get teams to overachieve @ the D1 level. A Cummings would be a better choice for Massillon than a Kyle, in my view.

Big Bulldog, I know GlenOak football probally as good if not better than most people with exception of Coach Garcia and a few others, I will say the 1985 GlenOak team that beat Mckinley in the regular season and lost to them in the playoffs was and is still is the best GlenOak football team in GO history. The winner Of the GO and Mckinley Game was going to Cloumbus, unfortunlatley it was Mckinley but what great games those 2 were that year.
As for GlenOak they have turned into a respectfull program under Garcia and the excitement and support in Plain Local is unbelievable, We will play anyone no matter who it is, we will not shy away from certain schools like some other schools in our county.
I like GlenOak, Lake and Mckinley as the top 3 in the league this year.

Thanks for telling us what we need, I'll pass it on to the administration.
All of these transfers woulldn't get to play at McK according to what Nadine said at Walthers and at the board meeting. Should we expect transfers to play at McK in 2012 if we follow the same rubric used against Johnson?

With all due respect Ernie, I wouldn't go making comments like the one I highlighted above when your non conference schedule the last two years included Euclid Woodson DC and Green. You have to at least schedule some big boys.

I think you're a little confused. I don't want people like (Mama, BSG, BOE, and the BulldogBob's of the world) ruining the McKinley program. It's a special feeling beating a good McKinley team. Bob, you should take IUDOGS advice and lay low for awhile. You're already on half of yappi's radar, and if you wake up futureeagles, there won't be enough time in the day for you to defend yourself. Run Bob run. Run before Eagle Nation joins the allied forces.

You're confused because you're a nancy boy hiding behind a screen. McKinley takes the Fed this year, so that "special feeling" won't be something you'll experience anytime soon....Isn't the series like 38-8? Not much rivalry in that.

I know that when Kyle has a talent pool @ Iggy comparable to Massillon's, he doesn't win state. And as far as Commings' name is concerned, I stand corrected. One would think a fellow Bob would have remembered...

Bob,
You don't seem to be taking any of my expert advice. With each post you keep getting in deeper and deeper. Now you're winning a league championship and kicking our butts. When your house of cards fall, I don't think you're going to be able to take the heat. And trust me, there will be heat.
