I have to say Lake should be the front runner in the Fed race.

Have to say, Lake GlenOak and Mckinley.
But after that, Perry.

what in the world is going on at Hoover?
Boardman lost some key players.

Where's Go scruff? Oh wait....6 is the ideal number of teams in the Fed. Or was it 7? 8?

Question Long season ahead for Canton McKinley

I'm not so sure about Canton McKinley this coming season. I know they have Todd fritz as their new Head Football Coach but canton McKinley doesn't have one experience quarterback plus they have a very un-experience offensive line.
To make matters worse, they may not have their place kicker back this coming season, something about GRADES.

This is IUDOGS signing off.

Don't know if the Streaks are front runners in the Fed race. One thing I would bet on though is Durbin and his staff will not let a repeat of what happened last year occur. The Blue Streaks will be well prepared and hungry.

1.Lake
2.Boardman
3.McKinley
4.Glen Oak
5.Perry
6.Hoover
7.Jackson

I think the top 3 will be the teams to beat in the league

Boardman loses some key players (Campbell, Pollifrone, Hammond, Zidian, Machuga) but does still return a lot, especially up front and on D at linebacker. They should be very good as usual on D against the run and the secondary shouldn't be too bad with 1 CB returning and a second who started some games.

The key will be how well John Babos does in his move from starting FB to starting QB. He had a ton of success as a starting QB when he played that position at the freshman level (team MVP and I believe they were 7-2), but that was the freshman level and nearly 3 years ago. So we'll have to see. I'd guess though they will be a little more run heavy with him and we could see the QB running a little bit more. You can see his ability running the ball as a QB back as a freshman...
http://scoutingohio.com/index.php/co...1010&srid=3087

Also, how will Babos no longer being the FB effect the running game, which already loses Devin Campbell. He was a punishing blocker and good 2nd option to run the ball at FB. There's some good talent at RB which saw considerable action last season, but you never know just how good they will be until they get the bulk of the carries.

Overall though I see this being a typical Boardman team. Good stopping the run and good running the ball. Usually if you can do both of those things well you will win your fair share of games.

You forgot the bulldogs don't return anybody from the secondary.

The pups only return 3 on defense and 3 on offense.

Fritz has his hands full this upcoming season.

But he still has the 'best staff in Stark County' and the 'best staff ever assembled at McKinley' and with 'under-achieving athletes being a thing of the past', anything short of a state title will be a complete failure!

Anybody with common sense gives the coach a pass for the first year.

But after that a state title can become a reality. The pups had alot of good talent at the freshmen and sophmore levels last year.

Where did that come from? Best staff in the County? State title? SOmeone say that?/ Mck has hired what appears to be a very successful coach and he has been able to get ,I think, many of the coaches he wanted. That doesn't mean that its the best staff McK has ever had or the best staff in Stark co. Why you or anyone would infer anything else is idiotic. McK has very few returning starters so the coaching staff has its hands full.

As for this thread I don't know a lot about each team but I don't think there is any clear favorite in the league, I don't think many teams have many returning starters and sevearl teams are coming off seasons that were below par. Its a long time until the season. We will see.

Eventually he'll have one here as well. And unlike your boy Johnson, he'll be winning the league, too. I stand by my opinions.

Now let's look at some of your's for a comparison. You said:

Johnson would get his job back.
Johnson would sue.
Plakas would make Johnson a rich man and destroy the finances of CCS

How did all of that work out, Doug? Just because you tend to be clueless, don't assume others have fallen to your level of mediocrity.

Not afraid to admit when I'm wrong Blob. But on the other hand, I have NEVER said one thing negative about the basketball coach. I've got nothing against Filtz. Like I said before, I actually feel sorry for him. You yahoos will turn against him if all your predictions of glory fail to materialize.

Look at it this way, Coach Filtz doesn't have to listen to Stokes Davis tell him who needs "Touches" in the game every week. Hard to think that Dee would partake in stuff like this, but she did. McK will move forward and so did Mr Johnson, Seems like the Johnson "haters" are pissed because he got another job and how close it is to Canton. They are the ones who can't let it go and how he would never get another job. Oops on that prediction! But to tell you the truth, we are enjoying how much they (haters) are grumbling.... good theatre I would say. Keep it coming.

All of this strife is letting the other Fed Schools creep closer to us. Know what I mean? I thought this whole thing had died off but looks like the fun has started back up! Yeehaw!

Go Pups!

I almost forgot, HISTORY! That's for KabK~

I did not want to start a new thread. I live in Texarkana, Texas and was checking on a kid from here who is now at Purdue. I pulled up there roster and did not see Applbee's name. Did I just miss it or is he going somewhere else?

Dude. Idiots within the "McKinley nation" cost the program more than a couple of Yappi posters ever could.

You want to know why you're losing McKinley posters? Pride. Respect. Character. All those attributes that the departed have and the cancers don't.

It's because of posters like you who have been knocked so silly you don't even know the fight is over!Yappi is the only place in the city you lames can still voice your pathetic opinion,so now you wanna join the idiots you speak of and you cant even see how ignorant your coming off.It seems like your beef is with the B.O.E so why not go on their web site and Troll there, you're not helping your cause Trolling here! No one on the B.O.E comes on this site and many of the so called idiots you speak of don't use this site so whats the point? Believe it or not there are some people who were't with anti Johnson crowd who would like to post in peace also,is something wrong with that?

This is where you are wrong. If you believe that the program is bigger than one coach, then the fight is just beginning.

What's clear is that those behind Johnson's ouster have done what they came to do. Sadly, they don't have the character, will, or ability to build anything to take the place of that which they would destroy.

Fat Carlos and the Has-Beens don't know jack about supporting a program. Race-centric "community" groups can only divide. Your whole 100 won't make nearly the contribution of a half-dozen who have left. But then, you're not really about helping others, are you?

Granted, reasoned thought and articulate presentation seem to be beyond the grasp of the Three Imbeciles and their equally stupid cohorts, so it's not surprising that they would avoid any venue in which their lack of integrity and intelligence would be exposed.

So that leaves everyone else to have to listen to your bitter contributions...I also happen to be in the BAA and have sponsored, mentored, transported and coached many of these young men since 92' I'm on my fifth child going through McK and have been a booster even longer. The 100 doesn't just consist of one race for your info and the officers and board members are both White and Black 2 blacks and 3 Whites Mr. know it all and truth be told there has not been as many as you think that has left. The 100 feels that they can reach more of our fan base with their approach, why is it eating you alive? I think you need to just worry about the school 8miles west.....And for those chirping Carlos has nothing to do with with the 100 being organized so your racially charged notions are way off the mark and the 100 wont welcome any trouble makers from any side this is for the kids nothing else,no platform that will be used to launch any type of negative agenda....Take your fight to The 3 imbeciles why do you wanna fight with me? I'm not the problem,I'm part of the solution positive and trying to focus on the kids and the program as I always do...

100, in fairness both sides to the recent past have posters on here shooting off hate, it is not just one sided, go read the salem thread for petes sake.

good luck to the new 100 club support thing.

Fed League last year was a 3 way tie, GO-MCK-BOARDMAN

Those three return the most. Jax had a good year but will they be able to return athletes in the spots lost to grad? Hope so they added depth to the race and made things interesting
Perry plagued with injuries last year and has shown the ability to do just what jax did last year
NC - i don't know what they have actually, last year was disappointing - if they can't beat stow or ccc then i don't see them winning a whole lot in the fed.
Lake is the team that will hit you hard square in the mouth but not always score alot of points. if they get clicking on offense then their defense seems to show strong and these guys can be tops of a cloudy year in the fed.
