I know he played AAU for Falls coach and there are two great players to be JRs next year with him? Not sure how he'd transfer though as I'm pretty sure they live in Stow??

I wouldn't throw the word "great" around when referring to anything related to Falls basketball. He does live in Stow but I think Falls has open enrollment. I am not sure on the transfer rules.
I've said it before, the younger brother isn't near as talented as the older brother, IMO.
I don't think you'll get any argument there. Lorenzo played a key role on state title team as a freshman and Angelo didn't get much action this past season as a sophomore.
Falls had their best year in 12 years, a strong Sophomore class (Ricker, Slone), and is returning 4 of 5 starters. Cuyahoga Falls is a much better situation than Stow for the next 2 years...

Funny. Falls best year in 12 years was 9 wins! Stow has never won only 9 games in a year, and Falls will never be in a better situation than Stow as long as Sloan is at Falls and Close is at Stow. Ricker and Sloan started for Falls because they have nothing else. Close has won over 80 percent of his games in 22 years. He is not going to let a bad coach and average players beat him. They will play 4 times in 2 years. Falls will be lucky to win 1.

I'll take that bet...even without Cugini, I bet Falls wins 3 of the 4...
Ricker and Slone are both better than anything Stow has left...Who's going to score for Stow...Close hasn't let anyone but Walker and Scelza shoot the ball for 2 years...Beech doesn't get all of the easy layups without Walker drawing the double teams every time he drives the lane...
If Cugini is indeed transferring, Falls is a better situation...

While it does take a LOT of nerve to hear a Falls fan talk trash or boast, I have been saying the same thing. Falls has a very nice team coming back, and I have told my Falls friends that the Tigers will finally have a better team than Stow, and extract revenge for a year or two at least.
Stow lacks both size and scoring at least for the next year or two.

Didn't mean to come across as "trash-talking", but I do know a lot of these young men and they have worked very hard in an attempt to re-build something at Cuyahoga Falls...
...however, after the years of abuse from Stow fans...please don't begrudge me a little Black Tiger Pride...
knocking Stows upcoming size? What size does Falls have? One of the two listed is a player, the other is above average only, Stow will have three just like him. Stow had a very good JV team that I expect to step up just fine as JR's. Don't be so cocky it will come back on ya.

Agreed. Its funny how these people from Falls think they got better because Stow graduated their best players. Stow has been graduating their best players for the last 10 years and Falls still has not beat them. When is the last time Falls beat Stow?

In what way?
To become a better ball player?
To receive better coaching?
To better your chances to play in college?
To play in a program with tradition?
Or to play in a situation where all the returning guards will take all the shots for the next two years?
Who improved more in their 4 years of high school basketball, Walker or Cugini? I don't have any stats or anything, but it seems no one ever heard of Walker when he was a freshmen or a sophomore, and he ends up first team DI all-ohio. While it seems Cugini leveled off early. Walker ended up going to a better college as well. For that matter, the Scelza kid seemed to improve a ton as well.
So if you want your kid to get better, send them to St V? If that doesn't work, send them to Falls? I don't get it. Seriously?
Edit: Who (and when) was the last Falls player to play college basketball?

Not disagreeing with your overall premise, but Walker's growth spurt had a lot to do with his improvement as a basketball player, whereas Cugini didn't get much bigger after entering high school.

They ended up the same size, though. Didn't they both end up in the 6'6 range? How big were they as frosh?

I believe both are listed at 6'6. Walker was only about 6'1 or so as a sophomore though. As a result, he has a lot of perimeter skills that many kids his size do not have, similar to Anthony Davis and his growth spurt.
Please do not misinterpret my post as a diss to David. He obviously has worked hard to become the player that he is today. However, part the reason he has improved more than Cugini is that he was much less of a finished product and had not matured as much physically when they were freshmen.

Doesn't Cugini consider himself a "perimeter player?"

His parents consider him a "perimeter player". The problem is he is a stand still shooter. He cannot dribble, pass, or defend. Walker ended up being a way better all around player. Its not even close. The parents ruined the first kid and this Falls move will ruin the second one. At least dad will finally get to sit on the bench though. I wonder if Sloan will let him wear his orange flip flops?

Walker is a great athlete. Not the case with Cugini. Walker was dunking the ball regularly as a sophomore.
