Perry football will be just fine - many good players coming back but tough league....like I have always said - it will all come down to coaching!!!

Go Browns - drafted lineman from Colorado is 6'7" 335 lbs....that is almost as big as St Iggy line.....

LOL Perry 67. All they needed was Belushi running around and Chris Montez singing "Let's Dance."

Cool Yeah

That's a switch. We get a top news story on the WKYC evening news. Last time that happened was when we beat Massillon at their place. Hope the football team finds someone who can throw a football better than some of those kids throw food in the cafeteria. I heard the Millin kid is getting big and strong. Other nice sized linemen and some skill kids too. Chemistry. That's what we need.

67 the Panthers will have some nice size on both the O and D line. A few names that come to mind Ehmer 6'3 270, Maylor 6'2 270, McDougal 6'2 260, Humphrey 6'1 245, Felloussis 6'4 270, Millin 6'5 230, West 6'2 220, Wheeler 6'0 220. Allen, Tayse, Berry and Moore should have plenty of room to run behind these guys! GET IT DONE 2012 PANTHERS!!!

Cool The old days.

Had a lot of fun going to CENTRAL games in the 60's. You always got a game even if CENTRAL was away. South played home games there too. So if you didn't see John Brown or Paul Penny or Norm Nicola or Sam Lacy, You could see the Wildcats, Ira Turpin, Frank Dugan, Bernie Hull, or some other huge guys knocking heads. The horse was Centrals deal. Thanks for reminding me. The ground shook when that beast came down the field. If the Crusaders didn't scare you the horse and rider would!! Thanks for the memories Central. Go Perry!!

Since you asked, Crusaders are going to have the usual undersized team with kids that will play their hearts out for their coach...

If you remember the game 2 years ago at PHS in your coaches first year at Perry, you had slaughtered us by halftime but in the second half, Coach K replaced Devin Green with kid named Fuchs (who was soph at time) and Fuchs ran for 100 yards the second half of that game competing against Perry first team up to end of game.....

Last year as Backup to Green, I think Fuchs had like 14 TDs and maybe averaged about 5 yards per carry or more. The kid is a compact spark plug that runs very hard...

So, along with Jones QB and Fuchs at RB, Crusaders should be able to to score some points...As far as size, no way match size of Panthers but I am sure there will be heads rockin and rollin in week #2 at PHS...

Note: nobody can make fun of our schedule this year with Perry, GlenOaK, and Hoover....

Note to Perry67 - around your time, CCHS did have Boy Cheerleaders and they were called the Rabble Rousers (along with their cheerleading duties of catching the girls - they were also equipped with a shovel and cart to follow our horse for obvious reasons)

Cool Under the stands....

We were all down at Central one day. Snuck in the stadium to goof off , maybe have some fun. Me and two other guys are standing on the TOP row by the old pressbox and someone says..."Where'd Larry go?" Well, he's laying under the stands. Fell about 18 feet. He got up and brushed himself off and we went home. I'm still here but neither of those two guys are. Anyway. We had some fantastic afternoon games over there on Sundays. Crawled right through the ticket windows. Can't do that now. I mean even if they were open. Get it? Go Perry.

We, I mean Central, use to always play on Saturdays and would get good crowds because all other local teams played on Friday. (now I know why)

As far as females go, I am sure it was tough wearing uniforms stiched up from head to toe and they had to stretch their feathers on gamenights? Sounds like it worked!

Forgot to mention - did love to prowl Perry Games on Fridays too!... Been paying ever since.

Before some poster starts complaining about subject matter - GO PTO Football teams!

Cool Hey?

What are you guys talking about? Let's start talking about Centrals closest rival. I mean Perrys closest rival. I mean... What are we talking about? Hey. What do the cheerleaders look like at ...uh...ah... One day I asked who OPEN was. I was looking at a 1960 Grade school football schedule. Alliance Regina Coeli, Canton St. Joe's. Canton St. Paul, OLOP. St. Marys, St. Barbaras, St. Joan of Arc, St. Michael, St. Peter, Mass. St. Joes, Mass. St. Mary, Canton St. John and then I see this OPEN. I sez "Who is St. OPEN? heh heh. Good old days. GO PERRY!!

Who is open......ROTFL!
Speaking of schedules here's some old schools from Perry's "formative years" that they played at one time: 1958; Dennison (before they consolidated with Uhrichsville to form Claymont) Elyria Ridgeville, Marlboro (before they consolidated with Lexington Twp. HS to form Marlington).
1959; Burton, 1960; Lima Central.

Panther fans the Fathers Club Golf outing is Saturday June 9th and I know they still have a few openings. They have changed venues and it's at Tam O' Shanter this year, plus there are a lot of extras this year for the golfers including golf polos and some other goodies. You can more information at
