I'm not that much in the know about high school football, but isn't Mike Martin from Taft? And didn't he do a kick-azz job while there? I could be wrong...

I respect the job Mike Martin did turning Taft's program around, but I am disappionted in what he did last fall that got him suspended for several games. To knowingly play ineligible players was wrong but what was even sadder is another transfer screw up by administrators who are paid to get these things right.

I'd really be surprised though if Coach Martin gets back into coaching. If my memory serves me right, he was ready to quit a year or two ago but was coaxed into staying. I'm guessing he may be suffering burn out after how much effort it took for him to build up Taft.

I'd love to see Mike Martin coaching the Panthers next season. It could be a new beginning for him.

Look for some coaching changes at Summit this coming fall. Coach Brown is bringing in some coaches from his Ball State playing days. Coach Starkey is still going to be there as well as some of the other assistants that have been there the past couple years.

So what exactly are the big losses for the teams in the MVC? I know CCD and SCD are both losing a lot in their senior classes. Summit is probably losing the most just because they are losing so many linemen, most of the key defensive players from last year, and Ladon Laney at RB. CCD is losing a lot of their skill players, but should be able to recover with their returning players picking up the slack. Whats Locklands deal? Besides Barnes, who do they lose? I dont know what CHCA and NCH's status' are but I would assume that they both just reload as usual and continue to control the conference.

HARD TO TELL ;;., LOCKTON MIGHT HAVE A LOT OF FOLKS LEAVING DUE TO THE DRAMA GOING ON THERE ??? THE NUMBER WERE VERY LOW LAST YEAR ; MIGHT BE WORSE THIS YEAR ?? LOSING BARNES, BEASLEY , LAY, MASON,BENNETT ,BA, AND 4 OTHERS 10 OUT OF THE 26 PLAYERS WERE SENIORS ??

I think they begin league play in 2013. The 2011 season was their first year with a team.

A new program to keep an eye on is Miami Valley Christian located in Newtown, which is a small village next to Anderson Township where you find Turpin and Anderson. They started football a year or two ago and have been winning(not big but at least whwich is tough to do when you first start a program). Their head coach is a former assistant at Highlands High School in Kentucky.

Summit only has 6 Seniors next year So they will have to depend on the Junior class to step it up and fill the void left by graduation. Summit will be small but fast. Look for an offensive set that fits that speed and athleticism. Defense will be where they will really have to step up with the lack of size but their speed and quickness will be tough to handle.

I believe there is a board meeting April 17th to decide on who will be the next boys basketball coach. Maybe they will decide on the football position as well.

both spidy and coach angus bollmer told me plenty of folks over on wayne ave . wanted mac ogletree to get it ,,.; they are moving a lot of the best and older kids to defense . / that is finn s idea . playing young guys on offense,,. trying bell robinson at quahterback is a big gamble ; they think gilbert is too short to throw the ball over big lines like cnca or nch ..,??the coaches want to blow out ccd and chca . and beat nch,,.,. coach finn will be the get back coach ..,board has to approve this on april 17th .., WIN WITH COACH FINN ;;; GOOD LUCK TO COACH BOLLMER AND THE PANTHERS A NEW ERA OF LOCKLAND FOOTBALL ;;';' THROW THAT PIGSKIN HA HA ???

Unhappy

why would he put fred in the back field when we barely have a line and roundtree aint that fast but can get the job done, why put eric bell at quarterback when he cant throw he did an excellent job at tight-end we should just keep sevon and roundtree in the back feild, fred on the line and gilbert at QB
