It doesn't look like X, LaSalle, or Elder has that problem.
They schedule out-of-state boys and non-local too. The other 3 also aren't being childishly boycotted over a student who doesn't even go to school in Ohio anymore. Didn't he move to GA?
Moeller will defintely make the playoffs and should do very well. They will have the talent to go deep in the playoffs. I just hope middletown does well enough to get into the playoffs and get a first round home game.
this is a Moeller post. I would said Moeller coaches.......
They have the coaches to do very well? I would say yes, but do the have better coach then Specht and i would say nobody in sw probably does. The moeller coaches have proven they can beat X, so this season they have just as good chance to get out of the region then any other team. I am not saying they are going to win state, but would expect them to get to the region finals and then anything could happen from there.
With Coach Klonne and Coach Lippy in the mix...we vaulted forward a bunch. IMHO.

Amen, but on the other side of the coin, the kids have to go out and execute. I don't put full blame on the Coaching staff with recent problems in the playoffs.
What I think we've missed, and this is going even back to when I played at Moeller, and I graduated in 2000. We've lacked making "clutch" plays. The deeper you go into the playoffs, seems as though you've gotta catch a break or make that clutch play and we've just not been on the right side of that for a long, long time.
I think those raising a big stink about Rodenberg aren't exactly involved with Moeller and the football program. I would never call for his head and I think we've taken some steps forward and also taken some steps back, but with the addition of Coach Klonne and with Lippencott coming back, I'll be curious to see if we don't an even larger increase in accountability and execution.

Younmoegrad, nobody is calling for Rodenberg's head, I was just struck by the level of disrespect for your coach during the Enquirer chat the other day by Moe posters for the most part. There seems to be some real discontent for the way he handled the whole Madaris situation and with regards to some other things... I am surprised that he didn't stop the chat and say something to the effect of "if these are the best questions you guys can come up with, maybe we should end this chat right now". I saw a little of that too on the Coach Bolden chat..there are some not so happy Colerain campers as well it seems according to the chat. I want Moe to be successful but for the games they play against X because I want our league to stay strong. As they say competition breeds excellence.

I agree......I just hope there aren't too many hands in the pot on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully, they let Lippy do his thing. Anyone know if they are running the same offense this year? I sure hope they build the offense around their talent and not force a "system" on them.

To the guy who said that there was a lot of trash talking of Coach Rodenberg, I agree. I believe that these "Moeller" posters are just high school kids who didn't get there chance at Moeller or the believe they should have got a chance and believed Rodenberg hated them that is why they didn't play. I know for a fac that some of the questions asked where from Moeller students and former Moeller students, that is all that I have to say about people disliking Rodenberg. Rodenberg will tell you how it is and some people in this society just don't like that.

I would agree..my brother coached under Coach Klonne and had nothing but good things to say about him. So, is Rodenberg and offensive or defensive guy?
So the Maxpreps pre-season 25 is out and Moeller is 19th. We all know that preseason rankings are most often based on the school's name (legacy), what they did last year, and perhaps how many players are returning. What are your thoughts on this? To me, too many questions will remain:
1) Will the receiving corps step up to replace Madaris?
2) I'm very enthusiastic, but will the return of coaches Lippincott and Klonne provide the much needed boost to the defense?
3) Will the defense be able to stop the run?
4) The last couple years the team has started the season looking like a strong contender. They have beaten St. X and Elder, only to lose to Indy Cathedral and fall apart the rest of the season. Improvement throughout the season seems to be lacking. Will it happen again this year?
My thoughts: No doubt the regular season schedule is daunting, and could be the toughest in the nation this year and Moeller's toughest ever. If Moeller can accomplish these four things they will win the region, have a legit shot at the state title and see a national top 25 ranking. Even then it'll be tough not to lose a couple games in the regular season. If not, they won't make the national 200, lose alot of games in the regular season an perhaps struggle to make the playoffs.

Two of the better coaches in Ohio High School football history. Jim Lippincott is actually from Sydney!!!! Excellent football minds. Steve Klonne has been recognized as National Coach of the Year and has a few state championship rings to his name.

Why are St X posters so obsessed with Moeller? In the GMC boycott threads they have turned the discussion into X vs. Moeller. Then I looked at the Moeller 2012 thread and out of 106 replies 20 of them are from known St. X supporters. That's 18.8% of the comments.
On the St. X 2012 thread there are only 13 posts from Moeller posters out of 427 replies(3%).
SO fess up Bomber Fans. What's with the obsession with Moeller?

I will share my confession (earlier today at St. Xavier cathedral)
ReLoad: Bless me Father for I have sinned. My last confession was about a year ago. Since then I cannibalized a homeless man, ran guns across the Mexican border to the cartels, crapped on a police cruiser at occupy Wall Street, posted on a Moeller thread on Yappi, cursed Welcome stadium, Stark county and OHSAA officials, attended a Justin Bieber concert, made a...
Father O'Shenanigans: Whoa, back up a minute my son. What was that last one?
ReLoad: The concert?
Father O'Shenanigans: No before that
ReLoad: Cannibalized a homeless man?
Father O'Shenanigans: No silly, after that
ReLoad: Posting on a Moeller thread on Yappi?
Father O'Shenanigans: Bingo! Tell me more about that mighty indiscretion
ReLoad: Well Father, I am obsessed with high school football.
Father O'Shenanigans: Yes I see, please go on
ReLoad: and I realized that 91.2% of my satisfaction comes from the success of St. Xavier football
Father O'Shenanigans: Ahhh, the team coached by Saint Specht, the Annointed One, I like that team too my son.
ReLoad: Yes thats the team Father.
Father O'Shenanigans: You know Saint Specht has already earned his wings don't you?
ReLoad: Yes Father, the whole StX community knows. Now would you kindly stop interrupting me. I don't need to be cramped up in this stuffy little confessional all day.
Father O'Shenanigans: I'm sorry, my son. Please do continue
ReLoad: As I was saying, the other 8.8% of my satisfaction with high school football lies in the entertainment provided by Moe coach Rodenberg in the things he says and does.
Father O'Shenanigans: I see, you really like this fella Rodenberg
ReLoad: Oh yes Father. Very much so. You see the Moe administrators recently hired Lippy and Klonne and I feared Rody might lose his job and thus my enjoyment with high school football would be diminished.
Father O'Shenanigans: I see. So you posted on the Moe thread in an effort to save his job. Am I right my son?
ReLoad: As usual Father
Father O'Shenanigans: I find you have done little wrong my son. But for attending that concert and crapping on the cruiser say 10 Hail Mary's and recite the Bomber fight song 20 times
ReLoad: Bless you Father
They had enough coaching to get to the region finals and with X losing some key players to graduation maybe this is moeller's year. Moeller"s past histrory recently may say other wise, but time will tell. Who do you see as the preseason favorite? I think the region has alot of unknowns on how they will do and its very hard to choose a preseason favorite.

Blue Gill, how does that bait taste?
Hook, line and sinker...shame you're only a guppy, I think ths was looking for a bigger fish.
I know nothing about the fortunes of the 2012 Moeller football Crusaders, but as a St. Ed fan I wish them well. (Except of course when they are playing us!) I don't think a lot of football fans are aware of the great run Moeller made in the rugby playoffs this spring. They were outstanding. Yes, my Ed's team won the title, but Moeller was outstanding. I won't even attempt to tell you how dramatic the rugby title game was, because if you weren't there, you missed it. That Eric Lally, (is that his name?), was a beast! Moeller had a great team and great fans.
It's our understanding that the Moeller O-line coach is the rugby coach. He is a great coach. Ed's may be down in football this year, but if we are, i'm one Ed's fan that will root for Moeller.
The Moeller people treated us like family during the rugby season and we tried to return the favor when they came up here. It was great competition that, hopefully, will carry over to the football season. Best wishes to Moeller.
