What going on? At this time it seems alot of information about the lower tier has been spoken? Does Southern Local still have their coach? What's going on at Lowellville? I've seen Geno Moore play basketball and have been very impressed with his mental toughness and athletic attributes? Who are going to make some noise this year? I know Wellsville had a young football team and are ready to have a probable banner year? I know Western Reserve are graduating a terrific class but I feel Hake "cup is still pretty full". And Columbiana in and J-M OUT makes the league more competitve.
My early unknown prediction at this moment without knowing much:
1)Columbiana
2)Wellsville
3)Western Reserve
4)McDonald
5)Southern Local(only reason this low, we all know)???
6)Leetonia
7)Lowellville
8)Sebring
What does other ITCL Lower Tier fans know? Let's chat!
The last I hear about the Southern coach was that he was still on paid leave.
Their BOE did have an executive and special meetings last week but nothing in the paper about what went on. Don't know if their meetings were about him, interesting.............

Wester Reserve - they are still the big dog till someone steps up and says otherwise
Columbiana - the drop down to teir 2 just may keep them out of the playoffs if they don't find away to beat Crestview or Western Reserve
Mcdonald - young last year, gained a ton of experience, great staff, they'll be back with a bang in 2012 look out
Wellsville - comming off a playoff appearance wellsville will be looking to build and challenge the top half of the league
Southern Local - who knows whats going on here. depending what happens with the issues going on down there they could be anywhere from 2nd to 7th so i put them 5th. Talent comming back but, who is running the ship right now? and who will run it come August? just an all around shame of a situation.
Lowellville - are they ever going to turn it around? Had some talent last year took their lumps, have some young talented guys comming back but do they want it and will they work for it?

Leetonia - yawn, more of the same
Sebring - its sebring
Western Reserve was the big dog, even though they still might be where they were last year, with Columbiana moving down from the Upper Tier, I gotta put Columbiana as the new big dog... Talentwise and coachingwise, the Clippers play well, and will do so in the Lower Tier, their non conference schedule will need to help them tons to get into the playoff picture...
Until someone beats them, Western Reserve is still the team to beat, but I really think the Lower Tier is going to be a dog-fight this year. I like your assessment there bigmac27, pretty much my thought too.
McDonald will be improved, and can challenge for the league, while the addition of Columbiana makes the whole league more competitive. Big question mark at Southern, and Wellsville is coming off a playoff season despite having a core of sophomores leading the team. They SHOULD be even better this year.
Unfortunately for Sebring and Leetonia, they may be improved this coming year but end up with a worst record than in 2011.
My sources told me that Coach Skrinjar is back off suspension as of Feb 13 and he is back doing his job. I have not seen a darn thing in the papers about this matter though. I would think the papers have an obligation to put this news on the front page just like they did when he was suspended. Sad thing about this situation is a good young coach and teacher has been tainted by allegations that obviously are untrue.

Oh really?? Thats great they are UNTRUE...Hopefully things get back on track for us and we all move forward..I did see he is getting married and i wish them the best...GO INDIANS...
According to the East Liverpool Review and the Morning Journal Skrinjar has been cleared of the allegations and returned to the classroom yesterday. The BOE has not acted yet on his football contract as of yet, but I am sure he will renewed.
the skrinjar story is very interesting and has to be one of the few times a teacher has been accused of something of that nature and it turns out to be a fabrication. good for him if he is indeed innocent. He has never been my cup of tea but he seems to do a good job with the kids of that community. I did not know he was a teacher though, and that kind of surprises me but that is neither here nor there.
McDonald will be back at the top again after a down year. The cupboard is really starting to get filled for the program moving forward. Their Jr high program has dominated the past 2 seasons, along with a solid sr class. I'm not sure about Columbiana, but I think McDonald would be the favorites with the Clips and WR a step behind. I see Reserve having a season like McDonald had last year
Sorry for the misinformation my source seems to have failed me. His *fiance is actually a recent Wellsville grad. Two independent sources have confirmed she graduated in 2010. Again sorry for the mis-info. and Joe will do his best to prevent this type of thing from happening again.

No Joe, you are being fed some incorrect information by your independent sources. Coach Skrinjar's soon to be bride is not from Wellsville either. I don't think you can weigh in on this matter Joe so I would wait until you get some real info to post.

She's not from Wellsville? Facebook is lying?
Status update from Crystal Miller
My Valentine is so much more than just a valentine. He's my better half, my rock, & the most perfect fiancè a girl could wish for..all 365 days of the year! I love you so much♥ — with Michael Skrinjar.
(Via Facebook) Also on Wellsville's website Crystal Miller is a 2010 Alumni..
Coach Skrinjar has done a great job at Southern and let's leave it at that. Let's talk about ITCL Lower Tier football. My apologies to Coach Skrinjar for opening a "can of worms" with individuals who don't like to mind their business. I think true football fans are getting tired of the saga about the personal side when the man has been reinstated meaning he had to be cleared of what was informed. Please leave it alone and talk football! Or do not post! Thankyou.
unfortunately for the southern local fans that is all anyone wants to talk about...that will continue to be a topic of discussion for as long as he is on the sidelines there. Not to open another can of worms but how long has he been teaching? Kind of weird that his better half is a 2010 high school graduate if he was in fact a teacher at that time (regardless of if it was the same school or not). This guy doesn't need to give people anymore reasons to dislike him.
McDonald will be very tough next year. The kids are looking forward to playing in their home away from home week 4
There home away from home? Idt so. Yes in the past mcdonald has owned WR on their field but these kids now havent done anything to reserve but lose the 22 game streak.
Western Reserve- Yes they lost alot, but they also have alot coming back. 4 out of 6 top linemen, 3 of 4 top recievers. All but 4 defensive starters. they lose clegg and bolton but their jv team destoried everyone last year with a great qb. Still have them at the top.
Columbiana- I dont know much about these guys, except that they lost there mr everything in Barbato and that they play extremly physical. That is the key. Reserve beats the lower tier because they are more physical, that is why Columbiana will be successful as well.
Wellsville- With mkaing the playoffs last year and being successful, i think it did alot for the young kids which is why i have them at 3rd. they will have a strong running game with Mox and 25 coming back. Coaching is the only question for me.
Mcdonald- Coming off their first bad season in awhile, i look for them to improve, but only a little. Last year they played alot fo young kids, but only because their was no older skill players above them, not cause they were actually that good. The experienced helped but not much. still a year away i think.
Southern- They lost alot in pucket and exline last year, also their motivator who i think inspired these kids regardless how much of a fool he was. I think the season rests in Griffiths hands, or should i say his arm.
Loweivlle- They had alot of hope last year at the beginning, making claims they cant wait to play reserve and what not, but it didnt reall pan out. I dont see them going anywhere, they dont have a true stud or leader.
There home away from home? Idt so. Yes in the past mcdonald has owned WR on their field but these kids now havent done anything to reserve but lose the 22 game streak.
Actually it was a 24 game streak. And all streak come to an end. Next season will be interesting.
Columbiana dropping in Tier two puts a new twist in the conference. I have a feeling it won't be as easy for them as expected. I don't see that much of a drop-off from tier one to tier two? WR, Mcd, Wellsville, and Southern will not be as easy as expected? Crestview, SR, and possibly Springfield would have been the difficult games in tier one? It's going to be interesting.
I don't think Leetonia being as bad as stated? I feel Coach Altamore did a good job with what he had last year and think they will be more competitive then expected. Top five? No? However, not at the bottom of the list.
