What does everyone return?
I think Hoover and Lake have to be the early favorites with many key players returning from their squads.Hoover obviously is the returning state champs.Lake returns all but 3 players I believe.

With Hoover being the League & defending State Champs, I think it would be fair before the season starts to say Hoover alone is the early favorite!
Perry has a solid line-up returning hitting/fielding wise, what's their pitching look like? Tilton won't be back after the ACL injury in basketball... feel so terrible for her to lose her senior year like that

Boardman loses Dido and Meenachan who went to Ohio State and YSU respectively and a couple other starters so they will be down from previous years but still above average

That is not an true statement. This isn't the pros where you keep you core together year after year after year. If you have a team that won the league last year and they graduate 5 seniors. How could you make them the early favorites? Each year is different and it is going to depend on who is coming back.

I knew Hoover had most of their team returning, that was why I made the statement.
I see Diamond Queen's jealousies of Hoover have carried over into 2012!

BARAHAHAHAHAH.......Thats funny!!!! no jealousy just stating a fact that Lake has a great chance... what was done last year is last year cant wait to see lake play NC and Louisville to play NC should be a great year!!!!!
Hoover should be the favorite. They have a solid team of talented young women returning. the same as the rest of the FED. Lake will struggle with pitching but will have a solid defense and will hit the ball hard. You cannot count any team in the FED out. They all have Talent. Good luck to all. It should be a fun year.
we can argue about who the best team in the league is [GO VIKINGS ] but i think we can all agree we are fortunate to watch the best softball league in Ohio. looking forward to a great season and a new home for Viking softball.

Is that for varsity and JV?
Are there 2 new fields at the HS?
I'm not sure whether it's for both. There is just 1 field across the road from the tennis courts, next to the football practice field they turned that big grass area into a softball field, fencing is almost all up and dug outs are almost done as well.
I sure hope so ccrunner4815 I sure hope so. Regardless of what we do this season its all going to come down to 1 or 2 District Tournament games that will really define our season.
I think the regions should just be split down the center of Stark County to make it fair. This District is just so good, I'm hoping they can break through just this once.

it started as a post that involved glenoak. the last time i checked glenoak was a fed team. cc kept up the louisville part and he is a hoover fan i think.
