Uniontown Lake has hosted many playoff games, and my experience at each one has been nothing short of incredible.

Great people run that organization.

That's high praise Fly and thank you. I have lived here for close to 20 years and I couldn't agree more. We are of course far from perfect but we really do have some truly wonderful people in our schools, our boosters and our community as a whole. It is an honor to be a part of it.

Best as I can tell it got underway about a month ago. And I'm sure whatever they are doing will be completed in short order. I really don't know much about it. I raised a question to one of the teachers over there and got some very brief info.

We ruined the field in the '86 season against Tusky Valley. It poured and the field was mud from 20 to 20 between the hashes.... One of the funner games to play in..... Thank goodness we got the new field the next year.

1 Lake
2 Mckinley even with a new coach the dogs be there.
3 GlenOak with Dunn gone the eagles will still be deep in backs. don't be surprise if the eagles don't start a 6'. 195 lb. Sophmore at running back
Worstell will be much better.

Nice. Been friends with Steve & Co for quite a long time. Coached Matt in football and baseball. Great kid and a damn fine athlete in his own right.

There are alot of questions to be answered early on in camps and 2-a-days. QB and O-line will be at the top of the list. However I am optimistic. There is very good potential for both of those and there is very good talent and athleticism elsewhere. Not only that but I expect (very much) that the leadership of this team will be top notch. It's not often that this area suffers on our squads but when it does, as last year was one of the worst, the results are obvious. I wholeheartedly expect drastic improvement in attitude from this years team. And that always translates well to the field.

Leadership

BTS i couldnt agree more with you ! we have a very good upcoming Jr & Sr class of athletes ! They also Are VERY talented at the skill positions and if we can get Solid Qb and line play we should be able to do alot of Damage in the FED this year !

O-line will be the key to success this year. I can usually gauge how the line will be every year by going to the 7 on 7 drills or scrimmages. In years past they have the opposing team line up their O and D lines "one on one" and pass protect, etc... In 2011 Lakes O line got pushed all over the field by everyone. In 2010 they were very dominate in the drills. Just something I have noticed.

Anyone have any recent reports on the weight room turnout? It all starts there for the lineman.

Not Really sure how the lineman were doing in the weight room ,but i know that Blasiole and Griffith 2 of the gonna be Jr. skills players were both in the top 5 in maxouts around the 900 lb range

Blasiole to start. My belief is he will be best back in the FED next year if he stays healthy. Kid is exciting to watch and will be threat everytime he touches the ball, much like Luther was. Also, Zach Gazdacho, 3yr starter at RB and corner will be a stud. Backfield intact from a year ago except for doughrty

Let's just say he has that potential. For my money he is significantly stronger than Jimmy was and just as fast. It's a trade off because the impact he would have playing Will or Mike backer would be incredible. He has the potential to be right up there with Lippe or Christopher. Too bad Lip won't be coaching him. (sigh)

As far as the weight room, good turnout but so-so results, IMO. I wish we put more emphasis on diet and nutrition. Without it you can lift til ya puke and you will only gain so much.
