Circleville looking for a head football coach. Applicants beware. Below average talent for several years and nothing looking promising in the pipeline.

I would be interested in finding out if this is true. They haven't even interviewed everyone yet, so I would be surprised if this is true. I was told there was at least one (possibly more) coming from out of town to interview for this job. It would be a shame to make the trip if they've already decided on someone.

Hoban fired the varsity assistant coaching staff, but Orsini remains as HC. So that's certainly a shake-up.

WOW!!!! So will Orsini be able to pick his staff, and was this house cleaning his decision?

Not sure.

Perhaps Orsini was spared so that he could coach his son's senior year, and then afterwards he'll get the boot (though if so, it will probably be portrayed as his own decision to "step down").

Gutless AD/Administration does not have the courage to do the right thing and fire Orsini because his son is graduating next year, so they fire all the defensive assistants to make it look like they are addressing the problem. Make no mistake, Orsini IS the problem. The defensive coaches were the only respectable part of the program. I have no idea why any 8th grade football player worth a damn would choose to attend Hoban when they can go to St V or Walsh. I need to find a new team to support, this program is on the rocks.

Not sure what all went into the decision with the Hoban staff (probably much more than anyone knows), but regardless it seems unlikely that things could get much worse (I mean it'd have to be 0-10). I'm sure the players are preparing just as hard as ever for their next season. So I hope that things stay focused on the team where it matters. But as an outsider and occasional observer from the bleachers, I have to wonder...

Im surprised to see Columbus Bishop Hartley open. They barely lost to Kenton in the regional final and are expected to be one of the best teams in DIV next season. This would be a great job for someone. Where did thier coach go?

That should say Columbus Bishop Ready--not Hartley. Coach Burchfield is still in place at Hartley.

I could not disagree more, you will find out next season that I am correct, Orsini is the dead wood. Unless they schedule a bunch of City series teams they will have a record as bad or worse then the last 2 years and the defense will now suck as bad as his offense has the last 5 years. Get back to me next October and let me know what you think.

Parsons , Haslem, and Frisone are not dead wood. I heard St V is already talking to Haslem about coming over there. St v has a much better program than Hoban.

So as not to overtake another thread, I motion that Hoban discussion be taken up in the Hoban thread. Let's head over.

So, where is the Carrollton coach heading? Or did he decide after coaching at that juggernaut he would pursue a career in administration.
