Coaching changes?

Who will be looking for a job? Who should be looking for a job? And who is the best assistant that should be head coach somewhere?

With the uncertain economic situations in many schools, look for some coaches to be moving on because of eliminated positions in their current districts - the days of made up administrative positions (attendance coordinator, etc) are coming to an end, with many schools having principals fulfill a number of responsibilities.

Four openings in the mahoning valley open. Niles, Harding, Liberty and Ursuline. Wouldn't be surprised to see Andy Hake, currently at Western Reserve make a move to a bigger school.

Bethel Tate is looking for a new head coach...............AGAIN. The 2 year plan just isn't working. Who to blame you ask ??? Could probably start with the Board of Ed. Just since 2000, 6 head coaches not counting the 2 game interim coach at the end of the 2009 season. Sizer '99-'02, Cox '03-'04, Szabo '05-'06, Dahlheimer '07, Kirker '08-'09, Stacy '10-'11. The Tigers record since 2000 ??? 36-83 Winning seasons since 2000 ??? 1. Someone please tell me why anyone would want to apply for that job ???

Was Whitaker fired or resigned at at Liberty? Seems their program has dropped off drastically in the last 5 years. Sign of the economic time in the Mahoning and Trumbell Areas.

Haven't heard anything about that. Not sure any former coach would want to go back there. I did hear they offered it to someone on the current staff, but again, I don't see any of those guys wanting that job. The Board of Ed, admin and community has made it very hard to suceed there. Kirker had it going in the right direction and we all know what happened there.

I could see Hoban getting rid or Orsini. Other than that I think most jobs are either safe (Benny turned things around, Padua had one bad year, VASJ will keep Storey as long as he wants to stay, CCC beat the teams they should have, HN is turning around nicely), they are jobs that no one wants (Trinity, Chanel) or the only way the coach leaves is if its for a "better" job (Walsh, LC)

I don't know enough to comment on Warren JFK and I'm torn on NDCL - on one hand they managed to beat Willoughby South in Week 1 but then they lost their last four, including a loss to a winless Hoban team and a loss to Benedictine where they finished the night with negative 81 rushing yards

JFK was in the first season with Pappada as head coach. Before that, tony Napolet was there for many many years before stepping down. Pappada was premoted form within. I don't see him going anywhere any time soon.

Do you have anything to prove that Cyr has resigned at Parma?
