R6:
All four Toledo (area) coaches have play-offs experience and two have won state championships.
St. Francis: played far above expectations this year and has a superior athlete in WR Loy, who will play Lacrosse for Syracuse. Their lines are well schooled and have decent size. Other than Loy, skill positions are normal for a play-offs team but not superior. Good balance over all with a very good kicking game, the Knights have had a strong schedule in which to prepare. They do not take a ton of risks and they do not make a ton of mistakes.
Central Catholic: the secret is out, they can pass with efficiency. With an already strong running game, big and quick lines, a terrific kicking game and a solid secondary, I'd call them the favorites. Central also has had a strong schedule with which to prepare.
Rogers: Rogers could arguably have the three quickest athletes in the city but as always, they are one injury away from being a completely different team. Not one injury to a star, ... one injury. If the waterboy gets turf toe, the Rams have to adjust, their depth is that lacking. Rogers played Whitmer but none of the other top teams, so theirs will be an on the fly adjustment. If both Rogers and Central win, then things get real interesting, they would meet in the next round. It was at that game last year that the fight broke out, resulting in Rogers having to forfeit their next game, Fremont not making play-offs....
Maumee: the team that probably won't get a lot of respect because they're in the NLL, even though that's the conference that produced last year's state champ. They've not had near the schedule to prepare for this that Sylvania did last year and they have to play one of the perrenial DII play-offs teams, Avon Lake. A good running game and a game passing game could give them time to adjust to the level of play IF their lineman hold up. Avon Lake usually brings good lines and linebackers.
