This is the last weekend to sign up for WSLL. Next few weeks should be exciting. There will be new managers (Thank you for volunteering). There are quite a few kids moving up (Good talent) and most likely a new expansion team from new players coming into the league. Try outs are in March and kids will get on a team and meet some new friends.
Does anyone have a clue on what the new team will be named?

Exactly why. Last time I checked, his minor league teams have been in
the city championship games 3 of the last four years, winning the whole
thing one of those seasons. Pretty good track record if you ask me.

I can recall hearing some one say he had a very good allstar team and lost to a team that the 10's beat over in a tournment last year.
I am over it, and why I didn't go for a team is that I am not in the little click over there and if I was asked I sure would have taken one.
With all due respect and as I recall it, other than in T-ball you generally dont get "asked" to take a team. You approach those who are empowered( that would likely be the LL director, or more generally, the board) and advise them of your interest in managing a team. They would then make the decision as to who may be the best fit and for what team. I am sure there may be exceptions, but I think that is how it works in most years. Seems a little immature to pound your fists now and say I wasn't asked. Opportunities are always abound. Now, sadly, the world will never know.

I'm not re-hashing All-Stars from 2 years ago. Let it go. I am excited about the Yankees new coach, and I'm sure you're excited for the prospects of the team you follow. It should be a fun season over at West Side and I look forward to the season starting.
I also have to agree with the point above. The board made no secret that we were looking for coaches. The men who stepped forward and accepted the challenge should be commended and praised, not criticized.
My bad, I should have clarified they do definitely have all stars on the team.
No, I wasn't saying anything about the number of All-Stars.
The way the statement was phrased sounded like the Yankees
were a bad team which I know you didn't intend to make it sound that way.....it just sounded a little funny, and I thought I would make fun of it.
