Paper Airplanes for Hunter

A little boy named Hunter from the Buffalo area was recently diagnosed with a rare form of non hotchkins lymphoma called Burkitts cancer. It only affects about 300 children per year, usually between the ages of 2 and 11 and usually boys, but sometimes girls. Burkitts is one of the fastest growing tumors. Hunter went into the hospital on a Friday with a tumor the size of a tennis ball and by Monday it had grown to the size of a cantaloupe. Hunter started chemo, but it shut down his kidneys and then his liver started failing. He has swelling of the brain due to high blood pressure. Hunter went into the hospital weighing just 40 pounds and is now 70 pounds because of all the fluid buildup.

Hunter is stable and currently at Buffalo Children's Hospital. He is just five years old.
