Traditionally its Moeller and Elder at the top of the list just about every year and then St. X, Lakota West, Princeton, LaSalle and Loveland run very good programs and are always very competitive. Usually every year you have a surprise team make a run to state for example 2005 Princeton and 2007 Lakota West

Make it a Top 10 by Division. Not a DI and then DII-IV (enquirer ranks)

In no particular order-DI: Moeller, Elder, St. Xavier, Hamilton, Lakota West, Princeton, Mason, Anderson. Those teams are usually all pretty strong with Moe, Elder, X and West all recent state champs. Fairfield has a great tradition and rebounded nicely in 2007. I guess you might have to add Oak Hills to that list, they are pretty solid, just no tournament success in recent years.
DII-IV:Badin, McNicholas, Ross, Turpin, CHCA, some others have had good seasons back to back or a small run but not the extended success of those mentioned. I am sure I have missed some names, but those would be the top ones IMO>

GCPro, right on in D-1, Maybe add Glen Este in the other div's. They usually have a decent program, i dont know about lately but late 90s and early 2000s.

Elder is the best traditionally with moeller second. Hamilton is definately up there, as well as the others you mentioned.

the hopes of Hamilton picking up top line starter were dashed last week when a kid decided to stay at his mothers in another school district, unless something happens Hamilton could be hurtin on the bump!!!!

statistically: Div. 1

Moeller
Elder
St. Xavier
(no particular order)
Then there is everyone else.
Hamilton has had plenty of success. Obviously lakota West winning the state last year. Other than the 3 schools mentioned above, everyone else is pretty much hit and miss. Just my opinion

What has St. X done that Hamilton, Fairfield and LW have not? I believe that they only have 1 state title also!

I would place Hamilton and Fairfield above St. X.

I would place Hamilton and Fairfield above St. X.

Voice-of-Reason: I would imagine he is talking about Ross. Not for sure though, but he had the same type of posts last spring or summer.

X has a state title more recently than both Hamilton and FF and made a couple other runs in a recent time frame. Fairfield has had minimal success since Coach Yeatts retired. Yet traditionally speaking I would agree with your assessment.

Dawg-I get some props for including Ross in the tops DII teams? No? A kinder, softer GCPRO.

Dawg-i agree about your Rams, yet tourney wins are where programs make their mark in the area. Not to difficult to schedule yourself 15 plus wins a year, especially if you have a few easy W's in the conference. I use a school like Harrison as exhibit A. Coach Bader is a great coach, win a bunch of games every year, but pretty difficult to get through the GMC and GCL heavyweights in the tourny annually. Talentwise, Ross has had as much as anyone in this area in DII the past 15+ years. Hope springs eternal. Your alma mater could have used that arm this spring BTW.

Harrison will be much better than the past couple seasons. The pitching will be much deeper, but they lost a very good stick in Weinle, so someone will have to step up. It's also Bader's last year so look for him to go out with a fight.

Badin is certainly a top 10 team regardless of their size.
