Lowellville has some nice returning players, as does Mcdonald. I think WR lost a lot of seniors. JM usually surprises some people. Leetonia had the best P in the league. I don't think Wellsville has much back. Southern can only go up. Sebring will be a good as their top two pitchers take them. They will have to eliminate mental mistakes.
Leetonia will return a strong team and hopefully with some depth... they will return their stand out pitch from last year, Ryan Gruszecki. And they will add a lot of strength in the batting this year. looking forward for baseball to start up :-D
im not sure about that Branch.. i think i her something coming from leetonia that they might get the 1 - 2 punch they need.. but its a little to early to say anything
Although Leetonia is a scrappy bunch of guys, I don't see where they are getting that 1-2 punch that would dominate the league. They seemed to struggle with fundamentals the last couple of years and you can't win league titles like that.

I'd like to know who the mystery #2 is going to be.
Sebring's #1 and #2 both return. They will need some of the others to step up when they play non-conference games during the week and DH's on Saturday.
Sebring is another scrappy bunch of guys, they usually hit the crap out of the ball as well. If they can get some pitching and better defense they should be near the top of the league as well.
E.P returns a bunch of players. 3 first teamers in a p, ss, and cf. They also had a second team 3b. They have the best pitcher in the upper tier in my mind in Baiamonte and their lineup should be solid from 1-6. They just have several holes to fill.
if Leetonia doesnt get that mystery #2. i believe they will have a decent Defence and they might play the role in the league as spoilers. but i dont want to say anything till the practices really start.. cause you cant tell anything from open gyms because there are still guys in basketball
EP should be pretty good with Best, Biamonte, and Powers back, they should be alright. DiCello, Smith, and Snyder are going to have to step up and pitch the other league game.
Springfield is looking to return a pretty decent team this year. They have an incoming player, Stolte from Canfield, who just came to the TIgers this year. along with kibby as pitcher, and they have a couple incoming freshman that could possibly get a varsity place. either way, don't know if they'll be as good as last year. losing Dane Dobson is gonna hurt. along with some other senoirs.
Most of the Ridge players are involved in basketball so most can't really come to open gyms. Only 10 players have come to the open gyms. Only 5 played on the team last year.
Ridge has a lot of talent, let's hope they can show it this year. Since Coach Hack is the bowling coach at Ursuline newcomer Chris Jennings has shown a lot of work ethic at the practices and is stressing fundamentals right now.
He is going to be the JV coach so look out for them to be good and carry it on to next year.
The leader of the team right now looks to be Jason Ferguson. He has shown the most at practices. Others to look for are Evan Walton, and Joe Mulichak.
Some people that didn't play last year may significantly help the Bears, but that all remains to be seen.
Gresecki will easily be the top pitcher in the league. The opponents will have to hold the Bears down, while somehow scoring a run or two. Runs were very hard to come by against Gresecki.
Remember, after taking a season or two off, it's very difficult to adjust to HS pitching. Those baseballs sometimes move in "funny" directions. Now it's there, now in ain't.
Who are the "mystery" players, as mentioned previously?
dont really know who is coming up. just think that sebring will have to use some youth to get them through on the weekends. which isn't a bad thing i guess.
