Jackson won the Fed. league title & Lake won the District champs, both in Stark county. Should be top contenders again in 2008. Both have a few talented D1 prospects.

I agree, Jackson swept Lake in the Fed, but Lake managed to get further than Jackson. I think there will be a few teams out of the Fed near the top in Ohio. Both schools have all round good talent.

Canton Central Catholic will be tough only losing 3 seniors from last year.
Top returning players include Grant McCoury (commited to Elon University in North Carolina), Max Colaner (commited to Northern Kentucky), Rob Hoagland, Rudy Donatelli, Chris Snopel, Tyler Wiesel, Mike Roman all great players who are getting offers and in Chris' case will get offers. Chris will have a big junior year and will be a key pitcher who is a lefty that can heat it up around 86 87.

I think that Lindesmith, Myers, Lindsey, Natale and Dickerhoof are also returning players who could all make a difference plus there will be additional talented players moving up as well. Should be a good team that might make it pretty deep in the playoffs if the team chemistry is strong.

I have to say that the top team will come out of the Walsh, Tallmadge, Hoban, and Field district. All four are very good teams.

I have to agree with BDbball7. Its too bad these four teams are in the same district. But it will be some tournament. I suggest all of you get over to summit lake and see the semi finals and final.

I heard from a big inside source that the Dickerhoof kid is transferring to Alliance.

I've never heard of him before, what would we be getting here?

I have been told that Walsh has changed districts. Is there any truth to this?

i feel that jackson should have a strong team. they lost some good seniors, but return most of theri pitching rotation. central catholic will also have a very strong team. many guys returing, but you have to expect them to do good becasur htey play in such a weak district and dont really face anyone until regionals. a lot of talk about lake... lake has some good players back, but not enough. lsot most of their lineup, all of theri pitching besides broughton who should have a a pretty good year. and piporo is really overrated.

Cool

What are you blind? Lakes top 2 players from last season, both got Fed. league awards, both have many D1 schools wanting them, maybe you just caught him that day having a bad day, which all players do have now & then. I love it when that kid plays with us on the summer league, I can always count on him to be there & getting the play. Lake made it to districts this pass season 1st time in 30 years, Of course can't give all the credit to Pip, because there was alot of other talent on Lake as well. But he make a strong up the middle. Along with all the other guys as well! As far as pitching goes, I think Lake will end up being okay. Very good coaching at Lake. Will they beat Jackson this year ? hard to say, both are tough teams! should be interesting. As far as Hoover goes, we plan on beating both teams in 08.

D-3

If we're talking about division 3 schools, Tuslaw has a very good chance to run the tables. They were very young last year and won there league in a very competive PAC-7 of which touted the likes of Bear of Fairless and a always strong CVCA team.

You should look for big things out of Robby Reese, Mike Combs, TJ Radtka, and Eric Chapman.

I believe CVCA won the PAC-7 last year. Tuslaw was pretty average. But if Tuslaw's play can match your hype, they have a chance. Good luck!

Does CCC play Tuslaw this year?? I would like to see this D3 Stark County matchup between the two. CCC has went to the state final four and the elite eight in the state the past two years and only lost three seniors from last years club. They have almost their whole lineup back... I would love to see if Tuslaw is as good as Hssportsfan22 says they can be. I would love to see these two match up to see if Tuslaw can hang with the likes of CCC.

Yeah, CCC is tough. There would be no competition there. But tuslaw is going to be strong this year.

I just really don't see Tuslaw being very good at all this year. They may finish 3rd or 4th in the PAC, a very weak conference. I just don't see the reasoning behind them being that good.

Well I'd have to guess that your Perry hypist going by you name right?? Well, let me put it like it is. Tuslaw is going to be good this year. They are returning most of there letter winning position players and have a solid pitching staff led by Mike Combs and "junk baller" Eric Chapman. The mustangs are going to have a solid defense with more speed then any team can handle. It's going to be a high powered offense as well.

Tuslaw may be solid but like every year they will not have the pitching to be one of the top teams in neo. I do agree that Reise will be descent.

I think jackson will be the top team in stark this year once again
