Sounds like the opponent forgot how to play defense. Torok's own words, "I have never had success like that". Six carries 247 yards. Think it was a bit of a fluke. Not saying Kirtland will not win D6, especially if it is rainy, cold or snowy. If it is sunny and moderate I will pick a team that runs a spread offense over the option , assuming turnovers are equal.

Region 24 champ 28 Kirtland 21.

So did Marion Local as did Coldwater. Plus Cuyahoga Heights is 1st in their region in computer points so they must not be too bad.

Lets see State Championship game is in Canton, Nov.30th or Dec. 1st, chances of having good weather 2 years in a row not high.

Kirtland does have a losing record against the MAC, two wins against three losses. So it isn't like they own us. It's probably a 50-50 chance they even the series with the MAC this year if we're fortunate to have a MAC vs Kirtland final again.

unless they brought in some new players...their players on the sideline were not very impressive looking...

Looks are deceiving and off season conditioning programs can do wonders.

well maybe next year Coldwater doesn't need to play a 4 team ACME tournament over 4 days like they did this year... finish it on Sunday instead of extending it into Monday

More days = more gates!

How else do you think they can afford all those fancy things?!?

but back to football.

Some big games this weekend. PLayoffs are right around the corner.

Anyone know what Anna needs to do to make it?
If they do, they have a legit shot at the title?

Anna is projected in. Right now, Drew has them as the #5 seed, traveling to Marion Pleasant. They will need help to have a home game. Not many points for them to grab playing Parkway and Delphos to end the season.

so with a couple weeks left in the season, would like to see who people think are the OFF and DEF player of the years so far. After seeing them on the field and replays on WOSN, I would have to vote for No 8 the Thieman boy from St Henry, makes big plays and is always around the ball. On OFF, have to go with No 22 the neikamp boy also from St Henry, HE RUNS hard and for him to also play D tackle, the boy has to be tough.

I'd be tempted to vote for offensive lineman Caden Niekamp from St. Henry.

while he is a very good player, against Marion, the Skins ran right a lot....away from their big left tackle and away from Marions no 11

Very observant. Sam Huelsman ( 2nd team All - State last year ) plays OLB for ML and SH ran to the opposite side that he lined up at.

Watching replay of FR - SH game, I know the weather was bad last week but come on SH, you have a good team, show up and support your team. Their may have been at most 100 Redskin fans at the game.

With 2 games to go a lot could still happen.

But on offense Nate Bruns QB Marion Local : If ML makes a long play off run Bruns could set a single season passing mark at ML.

Defensively : Sam Huelsman (OLB ) 2nd leading tackler for the Flyers even though teams run mostly to the opposite side where he lines up.

Runner up OPY : Riley Huelskamp ( RB ), I don't know if Anna would win more than 2 games without his running skills.

Runner up DPOY : Owen Sheridan FR, 100 tackles with 2 games to go.

There were quite a few fans standing under the concession stand roof.

Those a solid picks. I'd add CW's QB. With out him CW is lucky to win 6 games.

I believe Akron Hoban would be considered a guarantee. Probably the best team in the state regardless of division.

Our backup is pretty good too but yes Jake Hemmelgarn would be my OPOY vote. DPOY vote from the Coldwater contingent would be Safety (and Backup Qb ) Myles Blasingame because he has the most tackles on the team. He probably wont win that award though as that will probably be won by Sam Huelsman.
