Hey OBCDEFG - news has the Browns hiring Tyler Tettleton away from the NYJs as a QC coach. He was a QB for your Bobcats, and holds all their passing records they say.

Any thoughts about the hire ?

Classy exit here below.
We may look back and say the Browns' turning point in purging the stench of a fetid culture hinges on his leadership.

Thank you, Coach.

Yep. Cleveland fans should never have anything but positive things to say about Gregg Williams. He took an awful football culture with no discipline and turned it around.

Ian Rapoport

@RapSheet
Source: Former #Bucs OC Todd Monken is headed to Cleveland. He’s agreed to terms with the #Browns to be their offensive coordinator. Along with the coming hire of Steve Wilks as DC, that’s a high-powered staff.

Brent Sobleski
@brentsobleski
Kitchens has put together a tremendous offensive staff.

Monken is an Air Raid disciple working with Baker Mayfield alongside Kitchens after the Bucs posted this year's No. 1 passing offense. This trio could work some serious magic.

I like the comment Sobo tweeted. I have a feeling they are going to need to get some strong assistants under Monken because, if this offense does what it's capable of, he's likely one & done and the "next big thing."

Tampa Bay had a pretty prolific offense this year despite having a pretty awful team overall.

Monken's resume:
* Grand Valley State (1989–1990)-Assistant
* Notre Dame (1991–1992)-Graduate assistant
* Eastern Michigan (1993–1997)- Defensive backs coach & wide receivers coach
* Eastern Michigan (1998–1999)- Offensive coordinator & quarterbacks coach
* Louisiana Tech (2000)- Running backs coach & receivers coach
* Louisiana Tech (2001)- Wide receivers coach
* Oklahoma State (2002–2004)- Passing game coordinator & wide receivers coach
* Louisiana State (2005–2006)- Passing game coordinator & wide receivers coach
* Jacksonville Jaguars (2007–2010)- Wide receivers coach
* Oklahoma State (2011–2012)- Offensive coordinator & quarterbacks coach
* Southern Miss (2013–2015)- Head coach
* Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2016–2017)- Offensive coordinator/Wide receivers coach
* Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2018)- Offensive coordinator

Offensive coordinator

Excellent hire in Monken, I was somewhat hoping the Bengals would hire him as a HC.

Any of you locals hear of a surge in season ticket renewals/new with this great year and promising future?

Friend of mine is getting them now, and have a few friends who have them and they stated this is the first year that they haven't been easily able to upgrade to better seats.

I anticipate the home games will be sold out, or close. From everyone I've spoken to, the expectations are to win the division.

Deadline today to declare for the NFL draft. Kyler Murphy is adding to the drama, I hope he goes NFL so that he adds another offensive player to pool that may drop down a better rated defensive player.

Solid hires, but let's be clear that Dorsey put this staff together, and Kitchens probably had an opinion interjected. There is no doubt who has the hammer in the organization now, which is good. Prior to Dorsey we had personnel, HC and Analytics all reporting to the Haslams. Now Dorsey has control. Very good!

Now the hard part. A first time head coach and his strong staff have the burden of expectations. Let's see how they do...

When Fred finally spoke, it was worth the wait. And Haslam took a step back into the shadows. Dude is learning....

Add this to last year's offensive shift, and I'm a believer. All in on winning the Norf. I'm calling it now, pre-draft and roster moves.

Might be one and done in next year's playoff, but the Browns win the AFC North next season.

Who cares ? Not me, not a bit. That's crap weak reporters fill their space with, and little more.

Yep, as long as it's a solid crew I don't care who put it together. I really hope the Browns are finally at the point where people in the organization recognize their strengths and weaknesses as well as those of others and leave people with the strengths to do the things they're good at, in contrast to all of the stepping on toes and "know it alls" they've had in the past.

Yup

I guarantee neither Dorsey nor Freddie asked a single fan, owner, sports journalist or agent who they should call and interview in creating a coaching staff.

Looks like crazy eyed Vlad Putin to me. Miami wasn't kind to him. Lost a ton of hair. He'll be bald by the time he leaves NY. Also being speculated that he was hopped up on something during that presser.

Who pi$$ed in your Cheerios? I was just correcting the people that said "Kitchens assembled a great staff". Nope, Dorsey did. And the most important part of my point was that the broken organization has been fixed, and we have proper chain of command now. The Haslams have backed off. We should all be happy about that.

Looks like he's into his second 8-ball, huh ? Nice Jets tie, though.

He'll probably want to hang himself with it by this time next year, but that is a whole different subject....

You can learn a lot about the inner workings of a franchise by looking at what/where/when their employees go.

To make a lateral move to a team who was below you in standings should be very telling to Stiller fans, owners, GM and the league that the atmosphere is just plain toxic.

The franchise is unraveling right in front of our eyes.

You heard it hear first. If the Bengals can stay relatively healthy next year, the steelers finish last in the North.

Wow, you've really changed your tone. Didn't you think the AB situation would settle out and all would be well by next season, not all that long ago?

Tone changed a little bit after the comments from the owner.

The whole situation will die down during the offseason and I expect the trade talks, demands, etc to increase up through the draft and then subside after that presuming he is still on the team.

It will die down but will be a smoldering fire that can spark at any time. If the offense starts slow then the dumpster fire will be in full force.

I believe cooler heads will prevail but it doesn't mean there isn't a whole lot of mess going on.
