I’m picking mostly blind but here are my District final winners:
Youngstown: Poland Seminary
Canton: Buchtel
Ashtabula: VASJ
North Ridgeville: Central Catholic

From a blind squirrel's point of view, those picks look pretty solid. If both teams stay healthy, I think a tournament match up between VASJ and Buchtel would be a great game.

Pretty spot on based off of last year and what teams have returning. I know Benny, CCC and VASJ have solid squads but I'm not familiar very much with the Akron/Canton teams now that SVSM is gone. Lake Catholic has a nice two headed monster but I'm unsure if they have a good enough supporting staff to help advance out of Districts.

A little surprised they split up Benny and CCC, makes sense but those west side pubs like Bay & Rocky River are probably not too happy.

On paper it looks like Lakeside will be the toughest District. Lake Catholic fans are talking up their team for this year and we all know about VASJ. Glenville & Shaw have name recognition too.

I agree with Auggie. I'm surprised they split CCC and Benny. The publics I'm sure wont be very happy as both should advance to regionals. Lakeside will be tough. The two Lake Catholic kids got bigger and better, VASJ should be Senior heavy and better then last year, Glenville was young and talented last year, West Geauga had a very good team last year as well and every few years Jefferson puts together a nice team. Based on what I'm hearing many expect the same district final as last year Lake vs Joes.

Also to point out, we could potentially have an all NCLSemi Final or State Championship game pending how the bracket lines up with CCC playing out of the BG Regional bracket and VASJ and Benedictine being in the Canton regional bracket.

Who replaces SVSM in Canton or is there just one less team?

Where did SVSM go?

Buchtel going to be very talented. The Griffs will extend the winning streak of a Summit County team winning Canton District.

You're probably spot on.
However, Struthers may have something to say before it's all over.
Poland is good every year.
But I think the Wildcats might give them a run for their money this year.
